TravelPass with DSC offer (No Longer Offerred)

I used a TravelPass with DSCs attached as part-payment for a trip to/from New Zealand on 3-5 September. The booking was made in December 2021 and the TravelPass was fully used up on the booking. While the regular points and SCs were credited within a day, there's still no sign of the DSCs. Should I follow up with Qantas, or wait a while longer?

I should note that the TravelPass was used - in full - several times on bookings over the last couple of years which were subsequently cancelled by Qantas. In other words, the UATP was attached to several PNRs, but it's my understanding that the DSC offer should flow through regardless.

Have another international trip coming up soon that was also paid, in part, with a travel pass with DSCs (again, the pass was fully used up on the booking). Both sets of DSCs will substantially boost my lifetime status count as they're for multi-sector business class fares, so am keen to get a sense of when the DSCs will come through as I trudge (and maybe with the DSCs, skip a little) towards Lifetime Gold.

Should I follow up with Qantas
The bonus status credits may take a few weeks to get to your account, so I'd wait a little longer. The last time I used my TP it took about a month for them to appear.

If the trips were cancelled by Qantas, presumably a refund went back to the same TP so it should still have the DSC offer active.

It takes a while and they run them in batches. From what I know the last batch run was mid-August so you might be waiting a while.

They must have run another batch cause the DSCs were processed yesterday. Glad that the process worked as intended, even with the DSC TravelPass being batted around from PNR to PNR to PNR. Feel reassured now that my upcoming London trip's DSCs will also be recognised.

Interestingly, the DSCs appeared as one single transaction covering four sectors, (240 SCs) as opposed to separate DSCs for each sector (40+80+80+40), which is how DSCs usually appear. Suggests there's a different backend process for these TravelPass ones.

I still have $$ left on a DSC TravelPass, but don't have any QF travel plans yet.
With the DSC promotion expiring 31 December 2022 (TP expires end of 2023), I was wondering if this might help me extend the validity of the DSC promotion...

1. I make a fully flexible cash/award booking and pay with the remainder of the TravelPass. Say for travel in October 2023.
2. When I have firm travel plans with QF, I then cancel the booking made in #1, and re-use the travelpass refund towards a new booking.

Questions:
1. Would a refund of Booking #1 still be a DSC TravelPass?
2. If yes, would this apply to both cash or award bookings?

Hope this makes sense... I'm thinking this is probably a stretch but thought I'd ask and try.

What do you mean?
If you use the TP after 31 December 2022 you no longer receive the DSC bonus?
Isn't the DSC offer valid for the life of the TP or am I missing something in the t&c?
DSC & TPs were initially issued with an expiry of 31 December 2022
TP expiries were then extended to 31 December 2023 earlier this year.

The T&Cs state you only need to make a booking on the TP before 31 December 2022 (no travel period)

So you reckon the extension to end 2023 doesn't include the DSC element? Seems pretty dumb, but it is qantas

That is a concern - I had one of mine extended to 31 Dec 2023. I thought the DSC would extend to that date too?

I also assumed the DSC offer is for the life of the TP, ie the end of 2023. But they don't say this explicitly. I'm making my bookings for the remainder of my TP balance before the end of this year just in case

I've was issued with 4 TravelPasses dated 7-Oct-21, two still current. All four showed expiry date of 31/12/23 (never at any stage 2022). On 27-Oct-21 by email I had all 4 passes confirmed with DSCs. The DSCs were reiterated by email on 31-Aug-22. I have taken screen shots of all correspondence.
I believe that the talk of the DSCs not applying after the end of 2022 is somewhat premature. The Aug-22 email said in part that "the terms and conditions in this email must be read together with the terms and conditions in any other Qantas TravelPass emails sent to you." There is nothing in any email
referring to dates for DSCs, just that they're attached to the TravelPass expiring 31/12/23.

I've taken copies of all emails from Qantas re TravelPasses to confirm that I have DSCs attached to my TravelPasses. I've taken 10 flights with my TravelPasses, between March 2022 and early Nov 2022. The SCs with points have been credited, but NOT ONE flight has been credited with DSCs. That may urge a lot of members to check their own tally as I'm sure I can't be the only one.

When the TP were extended the email notice said something like "All other T&C remain the same" - to me that implies that the DSC will hold through Dec 2023. that's my view anyway.

Just called up the reservations team - they claim that all "associated promotions with your TravelPass were extended as well".

They didn't have any exact detail as they struggled to find my original PNR... They also refused to send anything in writing to confirm or provide a reference number just in case, so I guess we'll have to cross our fingers and hope the DSC TP still works next year!!

Recent flights I've had using different travel passes did not yield the bonus credits as expected. While the base credits hit my account within a day, I am still waiting on the bonus over 8 weeks later.
The agent on the FF line asked me to prove that I did in fact get the travel pass in response to a flight cancelled by Qantas, and that the travel pass was taken with DSC option. Lucky I still have those email from December 2020 and the reference numbers for the cancelled flights.
Beware, and make sure you have all the necessary documentation before calling to claim for missing DSCs.

Do not panic.

With the Travel Passes DSC's (and DP's for those that selected that option) operate differently.

from experience QF processes these in batches every month or so.

I would expect the DSC to post within 4 or so weeks.
