They can start by sacking Sutherland who has been completely inept throughout this whole scenario.Cricket Australia have hardly covered themselves in glory in this.
I think a lot of what has happened is based on some simmering discontent that the Australia public has had with cricket for a few years.
CA have a lot of work to do....
hysterically OTT public execution
I was asking our Brit future DIL about all this. She says they don’t hold sportsmen in the same high esteem as we do here; they expect the scandals and the messing around with partners and pretty much the cheating. Such low expectations that they don’t get upset when such stuff happens.Piers MorganVerified account @piersmorgan Mar 30
Agonising to see @stevesmith49 such a broken man. He's a good guy who made a dumb mistake & is now paying massive consequences. But he didn't kill anyone, dope or match fix - and he's faced up to what he did with painful honesty. Time to call off the dogs.

Smith's admitted his offence & accepted his draconian punishment. Wiggins was caught cheating, did something 10x worse, refuses to admit it & remains a knight of the realm.

I think you massively underestimate the life-changing impact this scandal has had on them all. They deserve no sympathy, but nor do they deserve this hysterically OTT public execution.
Interesting when Piers Morgan and Shane Warne are the voices of reason out there. Have no time for Morgan but he is making sense here
Though somehow watching all these media clips I can’t shake the feeling that when people are caught out they think that by shedding tears, they will sound more contrite and garner support from the public. Maybe I’m just cynical.Sure. But his delivery was more emotional than I expected. I’m not a Warner fan and was surprised. But haven’t converted to being a fan. After his answers that will not happen.
Consensus on the sports show radio here is that he just made the situation 10 times worse.
As I said before South African fans need to look in their own backyard cause they have their captain who has been done twice.
It would also seem Faf continues to conveniently leave the zipper tampering out of his pressers when asked about his charges, because he knows that a zipper roughs up a ball exactly the same way as sandpaper does. On that has anyone else ever played crickets in whites with zippers? I honestly can't think of a pair of cricket whites I've owned that have them.
Anyway I wonder when Warner is going to speak, also anyone watch Sutherlands presser last night?

Nah.
Protecting one another. We may never find out. When asked twice if anyone else is involved, he avoided the question. That hardly puts the issue to bed

That’s interesting. They don’t mind getting nasty with the opposition but not their own. British don’t cry.I think the Brits are enjoying the Australian cricket team suffering because we have been dominant against them for so long and surprised that Steve Smith crying was on the front page of many of the UK papers as a report but the Daily Mail (scum) had a picture of Smith that said Captain Cry Baby
Not actually protecting but potentially threw everyone under the bus.Protecting one another. We may never find out.
Interesting reading the Steve Waugh article weighing in on cricinfo. Our sledging has been disgusting through the years.

I was quoting my British DIL. I think maybe you should put me on your ignore list.
The idea was to show the DILI was quoting my British DIL. I think maybe you should put me on your ignore list.
You start to lose respect for certain players when the stories come out.SMH article: Bucket tipped on Aussie sledgers
Those in the photos didn't win .I think those photos of crying are different to crying in an interview - those are the emotions of winning a game not being grilled by the media
