I normally enjoy this sort of show (don't like Father Brown and can take Midsomer in small doses) but like Vera and Endeavour but I found this pretty bad. The acting was appalling although it was nice seeing them go around that big fountain in Aix (I think we went round that a few times looking for the way home)

Hey kooka, I apologise if my comments appeared a bit harsh. This is a light hearted thread and it was meant only as banter as we all see how these shows are heavily edited to portray participants in a way to increase ratings.
I took your comments in the good humour they were intended. I didn't make it anywhere near the show, as I got over my geekiness around 40 years ago, which you can guess means that I'm almost at retirement. I just have a soft spot in my heart for nerds and geeks - you can tell the difference as geeks have social skills.
Last season (?) they did have a girl geek, and matched her with a himbo. Now, that was entertaining, he made the other Beauties look like PhD candidates. He was like the Kevin character that Chris Hemsworth played in Ghostbusters.
Why do people watch this s***e? Beyond me.
I think I'm up to season 5. I am amazed by how inventive some people can be.
I think the animals are pretty clever too - that wolverine!
