TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

For those who like to forget the chaos of life and enjoy those low key crime dramas the Brits do so well in bucolic locales with murder rates that rival large urban cities…. ‘Murder in Provence’ on Britbox set in Aix en Provence (although I read most was filmed outside Reading - but lots in Aix). We saw the restaurant we ate at during one trip - a stinking hot summer - where the owners helpfully sprayed a fine mist of water every 30 mins or so to the tables to refresh the patrons!! Evian it was not….
Main roles taken by Lady Felicia (from Father Brown) who plays a criminal psychologist and that senior detective from Endeavor (her partner and a judge).
Then every week you see the added superannuated worthies from Midsummer Murders/Morse/Lewis for good measure.
I love this type of show (acknowledging many dont).
Enjoy
I normally enjoy this sort of show (don't like Father Brown and can take Midsomer in small doses) but like Vera and Endeavour but I found this pretty bad. The acting was appalling although it was nice seeing them go around that big fountain in Aix (I think we went round that a few times looking for the way home)

Edit can not can't

Not a series, but I've just watched Roadrunner on Amazon Prime, about the life and death of Anthony Bourdain. Excellent documentary, well made and edited, with a "gets you thinking" feel.

Are you trying to tell us you are as ugly as a hatful of ********** but really smart?
... or the complete opposite? 🤣
Former (well I was back then, I've blossomed since), not the latter

One of the women who took a year to read rwo pages?!?😂😂
(Only saw it on the ads people)
No, I was one of the gawky geeks, who found it hard to talk to other people, much less girls.
But at least it's a wholesome show, not like some car-crash tv/trashy lives shows - MAFS for example (where I've only ever seen the ads for)...?

I would much rather see this show in reverse. Male "beauties" and geeky girls!
I'm enjoying Hunted even if the scenes are mostly reenactments. Although it would be hard to hide in plain sight with a camera crew following you around!

Its been three days supposedly. But I'm just wondering when one girl in particular, (haven't noticed the others from the start) is going to change her dress.

Hey kooka, I apologise if my comments appeared a bit harsh. This is a light hearted thread and it was meant only as banter as we all see how these shows are heavily edited to portray participants in a way to increase ratings.
Did you really get cut before the show started filming? I guess you cannot spill the beans due to NDA. Just interested to know if there is a script involved or they just feed contestants red cordial.

I took your comments in the good humour they were intended. I didn't make it anywhere near the show, as I got over my geekiness around 40 years ago, which you can guess means that I'm almost at retirement. I just have a soft spot in my heart for nerds and geeks - you can tell the difference as geeks have social skills.

Last season (?) they did have a girl geek, and matched her with a himbo. Now, that was entertaining, he made the other Beauties look like PhD candidates. He was like the Kevin character that Chris Hemsworth played in Ghostbusters.

Planning on binge watching the latest season of Alone once the final episode is released in a few weeks.

Watching the latest program about Crossrail in the UK/London. Addressing why its so late being opened. Lots of fascinating insights into old/new operating software integration. Signalling systems different in 3 sections of the network (1 x new, 2 x old). @henleybeach are you watching / did you see? I guess SBS on-demand, if not. PS: enjoy lunch :)

Edit: "Auto reverse" seems an interesting concept!
