TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

The GoT prequel House of the Dragon is awesome so far! The first episode was a great introduction to all the new characters.
Good episode but I don't relate to Matt Smith as the baddy brother. Doesn't work for me.

It has an Aussie in it, too. She was in Upright (worth a watch if you haven't seen it, with Tim Minchin).

I had to laugh that it leaked 15 hours prior to release......... and........... people watching on HBO Max had issues as the servers were crashing due to demand.

Just watched a replay of some shows recorded while I was away on a French cruise vessel . Both shows were French themed! and on SBS, so can be watched on SBS on demand if you like.

1. France: A journey through time. A show that related the geography and the cultural landscape of France to its geological history. Yeah, I know - boring! but its very well done with some clever computer generated scenes# and relates some magnificent French architecture (or more accurately, buildings) to the surrounding geology. The first few minutes will give you the idea.

# The closing scene is brilliant :p ... touring the Cote d'azur:

2 Napoleon. In the name of art. Basically about Napoleon's "collecting" of fine art and objets throughout Europe. Some gorgeous stuff.

Just started to watch this. Very good and amusing.

Looks good .. claes bang is in a lot of nordic noir. Thanks

Love and Thunder Movie - Russel Crowe's Zeus with the lisping Greek accent of Con the Fruiterer is absolutely hilarious. Brilliant even.

Finally saw this a couple of days ago, i thought Russ was the worst bit, eye rolling bad, definitely channelling Con the Fruiterer (which Im not sure international audiences would have got).

I did get a great chuckle from the play with Luke Hemsworth playing Thor and Matt Damon playing Loki and the training montage.

I watched "The Flight Attendant" on QF8 and enjoyed it, Kayley Cuoco is actually a great dramatic actor, can do much more than sitcoms.

Am currently watching The Patient on Disney + (two months free through Fetch).

It has Steve Carrell looking very different from his previous roles.

Has potential, and the episodes are about 22 minutes.

Finished 'This is going to hurt' on iPlayer. The (I assume) based on true events around a doctor working in the NHS in mid 2000's. Very good.
it is indeed based on true events. He's no longer a doctor though

Using my free Disney + subscription I found NYPD Blue (1993-2005).

Amazing how much technology has changed in such a short time, e.g. mobile phones whilst used look very old. :)
