I think the Post Office will win.Ch.7 just advertising Mr Bates vs The PO starting February

Funny, watching a movie with him in it tonight! Said to MrsProzac. "That looks like Doron". It is. Movie, "Operation Finale (Netflix 2018) is a bit hard going so we've stopped half way. If we were not invested 50% I'd ditch it.Watched "Suspicion" on Apple TV+
Generally enjoyable and interesting series until it went completely off the rails. The finale was especially horrific and I am in no way surprised that Apple cancelled the show after only one season. Honest opinion? Don't bother watching it. You'll only find yourself bitterly disappointed with the finished product.
On the other hand... I've just finished watching "The Crowded Room", also on Apple TV+
Very, very good and compelling psychological crime drama with great performances from Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried. Supporting roles played well by Jason Isaacs and Lior Raz (paging @prozac ) amongst others. Highly recommended!!
S02 is very yawn worthy unfortunately. The Tourist is doing my head in. The writers must have been using some of one of the characters LSD when writing it. This season was set in SA and it's interesting to see local landmarks done up as international places. Next season is set in Ireland.
Cannot wait to watch this — given the background I have read. It stars that incredible actress from Broadchurch in the later series when she was victim of a crime. Next Wed night on 7.NO SPOILERS!
Finished it yesterday. A few surprises and ending left open for S3 maybe.S2 of Kin has landed on sbs.

It is disgraceful what happenedThere was a (very) small measure of justice that has come about recently.
It amazes me in the UK, how the Civil Service (and here) are never held to be accountable for their actions (or non-actions).Paula Vennells: Ex-Post Office boss handing back CBE over IT scandal
Paula Vennells says she has "listened" to those calling for her to return the honour.www.bbc.com
MrsK and I have just finished the Night Manager - at least they baddies got their come-uppence.
Footnote
In the BBC article above they say:
People can indicate they would like to renounce their honour, as Ms Vennells has now done - but doing so has no formal effect. Until the King is advised by the Honours Forfeiture Committee and acts on its advice, Ms Vennells will continue to hold her CBE.
So, in true British fashion, they have a committee to manage people who have their honours taken away from them - which suggests it's not an uncommon or unexpected thing.
It's freakin unbelievable. Now I know why my UK DIL went into a four letter tirade on FB when she watched it in January. The arrogance of the postal authorities has to be seen to be believed. I watched 1 and 2 last night and 3 today. The Postal Service seems to be able to legally run its own justice system. Shameful.I am watching Mr Bates v Post Office
