TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

I watched that episode just last night. šŸ˜‚. But there's a scene from Outlander that way surpasses it in so many ways.
Never confuse the Scots with the Regency English.:)

Reading the synopsis on IMDB, why is my immediate thought -: ā€œSharknadoā€? šŸ¤£
But better! :)

I just finished 'Bodkin' on Netflix. Set in Ireland, it's billed as a comedy, but I think quirky would be a better description.
It took a few episodes for me to get into it, but there were plenty of twists and turns to keep my interest and I enjoyed it in the end.

You were more patient than I was.

I've just realised I was completely confused about some of the actors in The Artful Dodger. I thought Eugene Gilfedder was playing the Prof, but it's Kim Gyngell.

I blame all the facial hair for confusing me.

Almost through the first season of "Those About to Die" (streaming on Prime Video). It's no Game of Thrones, but it certainly brings the political intrigue, backstabbing, brutality, debauchery and opulence that you expect from ancient Rome. Great series to check out if you want to get into the spirit of things ahead of the upcoming Gladiator sequel.

@MARTINE Iā€™m leaving for Paris today ā€¦.on NETFLIX, STAN,BINGE,SBS on demand whateverā€¦.

I was searching for Baptiste in here and couldn't find it and found this old thread but it's closed because it's in the C word forum.

I started to watch the first episode of Baptiste and when he got out the "spoiler alert"

Chainshaw I switched off - I'm very squeamish - is it worth watching
Veeps - Baptiste (the show and character) is a beautifully crafted study of the balance between the detective you need to find your loved one who never gives up - and - the awful personal toll it took on the man and his family. Keep going no matter what

Did I watch or recommend ChainsawšŸ¤”šŸ¤” - does not sound like me but we are ralking the year 20BC?

I just finished Spies (French sbs) for those of us who loved Spiral/The Bureau and Brigade

And Emily in Paris today ā€” next šŸ„±..

Ok if I have nightmares with Baptiste you will be in BIG trouble

Finished watching "Sugar" (Apple TV+) today. I'm a fan of good noir fiction and this show had been on my watch list for a while.

Colin Farrell plays John Sugar, an American private investigator on the heels of the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the beloved granddaughter of a legendary Hollywood producer, Jonathan Siegel. As Sugar tries to determine what happened to Olivia, he will also unearth Siegel family secrets; some very recent, others long-buried.

Some great performances and beautifully shot in a modern noir style. Without giving anything away, there is a significant plot twist that has proven to be quite divisive. I can understand why some aren't happy with it, but it didn't bother me overly and it has created a story arc to fuel the series into a second season.

yes but drags a bit.

Does anyone think the ABC Guy Montgomery spelling bee or mcalife interviews are worth bothering with?
spelling bee ? I dislike being shouted at & even with Tom Gleeson as a contestant one episode was enough
Micallef ? entertaining enough carried by the wit of both the host and guests. Will try again.
