TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

Now-damp tissues in hand, I've just said good-bye to a family I've come to love over the past six years - yes, we've just watched the very last episode of Downton Abbey .... ever :(:(. The Christmas special beautifully wrapped up the series with many threads coming together to give a wonderful closure and a most satisfying end to one of the most, nay the most, enjoyable series I've ever watched.

Farewell to the Grantham family upstairs and Carson and his "family" downstairs. We'll *so* miss you.

Downloaded Fargo Season 2 and binge watched just prior to leaving Oz - again really good - not as good as Season 1 IMHO but how often are they?

Have just binge watched the 4 seasons of The Tudors. I enjoyed it and with a history lesson (Henry VIII) thrown in to boot.

Gah! Sat down to watch the first episode of 'Atlantic' - been looking forward to it for a week. (Read Simon Winchester's "Atlantic" and loved it.)

Pathetic. Worse than pathetic. Some pretty images strung together by clichés built upon high school level social science.

Turned off after 20 minutes.

Just saw the shorts for "Here Come the Habibs" - gee I hope I am in OZ for this show - we only have free to air TV as we are not home all that much :shock:

Should cause a lot of comment when it does air.

mrs.dr.ron,
there is a device called a sling player. You don't have to be home to watch it. (Being home is so Yesterday) As long as you have an internet connection you can watch to your hearts content. Myself have connected FOXTEL and watch it anywhere in the world even on an iPhone, or iPad. I can change channels live much to the discontent of the people at home(oops). If Foxtel found out they would be Pi**ed.

I will have to get one of my grandkids to download that !!!! :shock: I hate missing my fav shows when we are away travelling.

It's a device (physical device) and you attach it to your tv at home. Or to anything else you want to. ( I have attached my Foxtel and Roku player). All you then need is the application on the iPhone or the iPad. If you have a laptop it's even easier, you just go to the sling player website and log in.
have look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slingbox
This Box enables you bypass all geographical and country restrictions of course.
Have fun.

I'm half way through "Making a Murderer" on Netflix, binge watching it actually.
It's brilliant in a gritty, reality, trailer park kind of way.

Ive started to binge watch this as well. I had never heard anything about the case until a week or so ago when other people started talking about it on Facebook.
