TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

Another series of The Tunnel is coming. We will have it recorded in London for our arrival.
Been watching this. Up to episode 2 so far so good. But then again I'd watch Clémence Poésy sell toothpaste.:)

Into episode 2 of Happy Valley season 2. Very "heart rate elevating".

:shock::shock::shock:

Poor Hodor.
Now the theories are that Bran was responsible for the voices that the Mad King heard.
Something like only 13 episodes to go before the end of GoT

MasterP quite distressed at yesterday's GoT. Another direwolf gone too. Why did they need to to that?
It has been interesting to see the rise in the Power of Women this series. First Daenerys ruling the Dothraki and toasting the men, then last night Sansa standing up to Baelish, then the witch with Vaerys. Hopefully Yara gets her chance. And loved the looks between Mance and Brienne. Classic.

Will someone please hold the door...

In a few online forums people were trying to work out what Hodor meant. And way back in 2008 someone guessed it right!

Only Jon's direwolf definitely left alive. Arya's direwolf location unknown and some speculation Rickon's direwolf wasn't killed as the one shown, as the head was too small.

I think Sansa either has a soft spot for little finger or is going to use him ala how he used other people in GoT.

Talk of a GoT spin off. Bran's powers are interesting seeing he can influence things in the past, although the 3 eyed raven advised him against doing so.

I think Baelish is using Sansa. Is she being sent to her death with the uncle. There is speculation Rickon is a plant so his Direwolf might still be around. but that would mean that family are in it with Baelish somehow. I can't see Sansa getting one over him, he has to see a benefit to her going to the uncle.

Mance and Brienne was classic. I wonder when she's going to die.

When Daenerys touched that brazier with no problem, that's would've been the point I put my hands up and said you win, if I was one of the Khalls.

The thing about Bran is that he can't influence the past. It's all a bit of a paradox, yes he made Hodor in the past but the outcome was already determined. That timeline is locked in. Also worth remembering that the three eyed crow took Bran to all those places, so you have to wonder how much he can do now without that guidance.

The look of love?

Was impressed with the new series of The Tunnel when I was in London. Great writers who develop the French and British differences.

Yes agreed. It's quite a good adaption and Clémence Poésy does a good job as a Saga character.

It's not Mance and Brienne. That's Tormund Giantslayer. Mance got burned alive by Stannis (and shot with an arrow to put him out of his misery by Jon Snow). Well that's what appeared to happen in the show. In the books mind you...

Anyone here who's read all the books? The show has diverged so much in the last two series that they could not longer be considered the same story. Combined characters, changed characters, missing characters plus entire plotlines gone. But there's no way they could have done everything in the books. If you think there are too many characters to remember in the show then you're lucky they didn't use the hundreds more that appear in the books.

I enjoy both books and show, by the way. I keep them separate somehow although I do get confused watching it. "Hang on, Sansa wasn't there..."

My son has read all the books plus the prequels. I am part way through. They are good reads. I also look at Whirlpool Forums to sort out the things I miss. Benjen returns! :eek: He agrees re the characters. One of his favourites was killed in maybe book 3? That character doesn't even appear in the show. And Sansa's story is very different.

Bran is seeing all history now - but way too quick for me.
