Well Foxtel Play etc all crashed just as GoT was starting...and so I had to go to my Plan B site instead.

Foxtel's online streaming services have crashed on the same day the seventh season of Game of Thrones was released on the platform.
In angry social media posts, fans of the HBO television show said they had tuned in to watch the new series, but were met with an error message.
Foxtel confirmed its services — including Foxtel Now, Play and the Foxtel App — were down.
"Our online team are on the case investigating the issue," a spokesman wrote on Facebook.
"The Long Night is here but hopefully it won't be much longer."

I think it mainly crashed for those after 5pm. But so many people trying get Thrones the Legal way and this is how you get piracy.

It basically crashed at about 8.30PM as that is when most went to watch it. In my case we wanted to watch Masterchef first even though it could be watched anytime on FoxtelNow.

So it was Plan B instead

Tape (or even record )? Well that is so last millennium

Besides with Foxtel Now no need to record as the site (when it works!) has a watch anytime function for shows like GoT.

In our case 8.30PM suited as with the 4 of us we had work/Uni earlier and we wanted to watch it all together. Plus we like Masterchef...so 8.30Pm suited us fora group watching time anyway. Quitea number of people I know like to watch GoT as a group activity.

The joy of living 4.5klms from the office, I was watching by 4.45 yesterday, which was hubbys 2nd viewing as he also watched at 11am.

Had to fast forward through the toilet/pans stuff - uggh. Was the GoTs producers jealous by the trauma that The Walking Dead return did to viewers on their season return so they needed to try themselves?

LOL, I would not be surprised to see Little Finger on the Iron Throne at the end of the series. I don't think this show is going to give a "happily ever after" type of ending with Jon or Dany on the throne. He may yet snag Sansa if he drives a wedge between her and Jon.

I'd suggest right now Sansa is playing Little Finger, getting him to reveal his plan against John Snow and than destroy Little Finger who she hasn't forgiven for Ramsey Bolton. Her speaking against John was to give Little Finger the opportunity he is looking for to create chaos.
