Got the freeview plus working again. Had to disconnect the TV from powerpoint to power down the TV. After a minute or so reconnected the TV and powered back up. Lo and Behold Freeview Plus working again.

As they say in the IT Crowd as their standard fix, Have you tried turning it off and on?

I just finished watching the 6 part Cardinal.

It is an excellent Canadian made crime show in the mould of the Scandinavian Crime Genre, which is exactly how I like my crime series these days.

I watched the first episode jut before my recent 13 day bareboating trip the Whitsundays and just binged watched the last 5 episodes tonight accompanied by a nice red

You can watch on SBS On Demand, though I used a site I know of to watch in sans -ads.

When the GST was introduced there was a lot of Government huff and puff saying they would penalise those who took advantage of the GST implementation to increase prices above the 10%.

Bit like back in the day when the Euro came in ....suddenly prices throughout Europe DOUBLE overnight, no matter which country you were in...

....due to "oh, something to do with "currency conversion" blah blah blah, "

Translates to ...... "I mean we're Rorting the system while we can"

Ha ha. I checked the date yesterday . Streaming not too bad on the ship but yesterday was dreadful. Sea day tomorrow so might try but don't want to spoil 'the moment' so might wait until Amsterdam.

IIRC a retailer could go raise the price up to the nearest 50 cent level. Eg. pre GST $1, post GST $1.1---->$1.5

That was a go to solution when I worked in IT at a school. It worked more often than not too!

I had a dream about Doctor Who this morning, right before waking up. It was about the current Doctor and some of the previous Doctors having some extra visits with their companions just before the next regeneration. My alarm sounded before the regeneration took place.
