Yes on a JQ flight. It is timed very close to a QF flight to Melbourne. The issue is it is not allowing me to link it via the portal

FWIW I gave up trying to link 2 x QF F comp passes to a JQi booking - even with the help of P1 Matt_01 and QF Lounge staff could see the invits just could not get QFF to link them - these passes lapse in Jan 23 and no chance I will use them - just further reinforcement IMO opinion why QF deserve nothing more other than to be used and abused

Hey CE, give it another go now... I couldn't link passes to my flights today but seems they've fixed the site now and all good

I recommend a different browser.

Had an issue where I can see the link to a pass, but it take back to screen with available passes rathern to the screen where you can link the pass to a booking. That was on Chrome broswer.. Moved to Firefox and the links work magically and I was able to link.

Hi all,

Flying out next Wednesday on QF71 @ 11:45 PER - SIN on QF (I believe from terminal 3). Unable to link complimentary lounge pass - flight not displaying at all on complimentary lounge pass management page. However, the return leg from SIN - PER in December is showing up and allowing me to link an invitation. Anyone know why my outward leg is failing to show to allow me to link my invite? TIA.

Interesting, does the T3 lounge accept complimentary passes? I thought you would have at least had the option to go to the QP in T4

Hopefully someone here can provide that answer! I think I should be able to access the Perth International Transit Lounge in T3 - as per T&C of general lounge complimentary pass:

can be used at any Qantas Club domestic lounge, Qantas International Lounge or Qantas operated International Business Lounge (excluding Los Angeles Tom Bradley Terminal) when departing on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number

It's not during school holidays either (the usual culprit stopping linkings).

I've seen it said before that the naming convention of that lounge is the issue. International transit lounge ≠ International business lounge.

😂 so because it's an international transit lounge rather than an international lounge or an international business lounge I don't have access. Oh very clever Qantas, very clever. 👋 Never mind that technically it's not a transit lounge for me as Perth is my point of departure. 🤔 And of course it appears there's no way I guess I can access either the Qantas Club or Domestic Business Lounge in T4 as an alternative (if so I'd imagine I'd be able to link the invite, but if people think otherwise let me know)!!!

So the long and short of it is I guess is that Perth is unique among Australian airports in not providing any lounge access for complimentary lounge pass holders for international departures. What a bunch of absolute jokers.

Congratulations. I think you have summarised the situation way more accurately and more succinctly than any work experience kid employed by Qantas marketing could have possibly done. While I think you are correct in your new understanding, I suspect its more a case of Qantas incompetence and poor programming of the back-end systems than a conspiracy. As is often the case with such things, when there is a chocie between conspiracy and incompetence, incompetence wins practically every time.

I thought I'd ring up Qantas just to double check the situation at the Perth International Transit Lounge. Got put through to an agent within 2-3 minutes. Then the usual dance with incompetence began: I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out said issue with the agent before she placed me on hold to dig a little further, which inexplicably transferred me to another department where they were equally perplexed as to why I had been put through to them! I am so unlucky that I continue to be one of AJ's few customers that always seem to get a less than satisfactory outcome on my phonecalls! 😂

Second attempt: got through to a helpful guy in that he could give me an answer, but not really do anything much more than that. So, this is the official deal, straight from the horses mouth, as to why complimentary lounge passes cannot be used at the Perth International Transit Lounge - COVID. :p The lounge's capacity means that if they allowed CLP holders in they would break COVID contact rules. Perth International Transit Lounge - a wonderful anachronism to stranger times. I wonder if they're still making the guests wear masks? 🤔

And just what exactly are those Covid contact rules? I thought they had been scrapped.
I have no idea (and neither did the agent; he just stated that they were still in place at the lounge). I look forward to quizzing the Lounge Dragon at Perth International Transit Lounge more on this issue before my flight! :) I'll ask for a timeframe for when COVID restrictions are due to be lifted.
