Does CL give you any extra guests to the F lounge? Not that I think we’ll need it, but just curious?

Last time I attempted to check-in at QF F checkin in MEL for a JQ INT flight I was told that they have zero access to JQ's system, so I would have thought that CL would not be able to magically change that?

Let us know how you go though, as I wouldn't be surprised if the agents were just telling porkies

I googled brisbane flood and found an awesome picture of the indooroopilly bridge during the 74 flood. looks like it still has a couple of meters, could remain a fall back.

I wonder if Red Roo can pull a few strings and get them to push a couple of tables together in the restaraunt and put reserved signs on them for us? I mean we have at least on CL member (hopefully) and a large gaggle of WPs in attendance

Considering Red Roo can only lurk here and not answer any of our questions usually, i'd be more inclined to say that the lounge police would be sent out rather than VIP treatment.

Based on constant proof of lurking around here (ie seeing RR viewing threads) I'm not going to believe that.

I did have your optimism when RR started posting on here, but over the past few weeks, that faith has been shattered.

My movements have been firmed up somewhat.

At this stage I will be returning to Australia on QF32 from LHR arriving into SYD at 8.15PM on Friday. I will stay at the ICH that evening and I have tentatively booked Quay for 9.30pm. (Any Takers)

If I am on that flight I will make my way to the airport to be in time for 3 hours prior to the flight. I am happy for anyone to share the car with me.

If I am delayed in London, then my proposed back up plan is to return on QF2 which arrives Saturday 6.25AM.

In this instance I think I would "transit" in SYD so I would have a few extra hours in the F Lounge.

More the lack of response to anything and the amount of lurking. There have been people asking questions in the thread that was started by RR but no answers are ever forthcoming. I appreciate people being tied to corporate guidances and the like, but if QF are allowing a rep on here, they should allow them to be a rep not be a market research type person.

Colour me jaded. I've had a bad 3-4 weeks where everything that can go wrong has gone wrong, so i'm a little pessimistic about the world at present

QF already have 1 very highly ranking flyertalk thread about qantas club&platinum members being booted out. Considering how this ranks on search engines I've got no doubt this has cost them many memberships.

QF would have to be the world's dumbest airline to do anything except allow the day to go as planned - within the rules. Especially as there are travel journalists on the flight.

I would, but as flood levels should be their highest tomorrow, a train or a car to the airport sounds risky.
