I'm enjoying my scrambled eggs and sausages in the mel J lounge as we speak about to trek across to virgin to jump on DJ825 if anyone else is on that flight, see everyone in Sydney

Now in the Virgin Blue lounge, I wonder if I can leave the lounge and re-enter the lounge after the others have left.

Dear Qantas.

Thanks for providing the reasoning for me to visit the Virgin Blue lounge. Much better (IMHO) than the weekend set-up at the BNE J lounge.

This could become a habit... and we all know that means less income will go to Qantas.

Ironically I have never used anytime access before today - he says sitting on Dj825 - watching my free in seat tv( for the time being anyway)

Boarded DJ924 and found someone in my seat (4C). Cabin crew re-seat me in PE 3D :D

So far so good. We'll be departing soon, a little late.

How does Virgin Blue allocate seats, how do you double seat someone, especially as you check in at the lounge, could have been a last minute change but then the boarding pass gate scanner should have picked up the double seat allocation.

Bit disappointed with the news paper selection in the Virgin lounge.

More importantly for me is that someone stole my seat a breakfast in the Hilton:!:

There are plenty of seats in the club lounge at the Westin where I am finishing a delicious breakfast.

Same couldn't be said for the restaurant though - there were about 50 people waiting for a table and staff were calling room numbers - I have never seen it like that before.

Thank goodness I have a choice - although I did want my omelette (which you can't get in the club lounge). Life is difficult :D

Anyway, I think I might check out soon and make my way over. At least the weather seems to be clearing from my perspective on level 28 - it was dismal when I woke up at 8am.

My breakfast at QF J in Canberra was

Eggs, sausage, mushroom, hash brown, vegemite toast, rice pud with mango and coconut, orange juice... very adequate

Virgin supplied coffee

Anyone in Sydney J lounge yet? I'm up the back corner opposite hanger 191 away from all the rock royalty

I will leave here in about 10 minutes so I guess I will see you around 11. If memory serves, dfcatch should be in there now.

I don't think I can use the transfer bus though. Anyone tried it without having flown QF Dom or about to fly international? In any case, I don't mind the train and use it about 50% of the time anyway.

At international now, JQ38 cancelled. Waiting to find out impact on QJ35

5.50 for transfer bus, fast and good value

Was an elderly lady that required extra room, so they gave her row 4 and moved me up, instead of simply giving her a PE row.

Landed in SYD but taking forever to get to the gate.

Yup, sitting at home waiting for this update before I leave home for Syd T1 via +1's taxi service;)

Here's the udate:

Still scheduled to operate. Decision to be made later, but it looks as though the domestic leg is not affected.

Issued 1030 AEDT 29/01/11

Jetstar wishes to provide an update on its international services into Denpasar (Bali) from Australia and Singapore as a result of a volcanic ash cloud caused by Tengger Caldera volcano in Indonesia.

Safety of our passengers and crew is Jetstar’s number one priority.

At this stage, we are anticipating to operate the following service at a revised time, subject to updates provided by the Darwin Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre.

JQ116 Perth-Denpasar (departing 1005) / JQ 117 Denpasar-Perth (departing 22:45)
(now rescheduled to 1235).

The remaining Jetstar services scheduled for today are listed below. We will review advice received from the Darwin Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre and will provide a further update at 1630 (AEDT) in regards to the operation of these remaining services.

JQ35 Melbourne-Denpasar (departing 1845) / JQ36 Denpasar-Melbourne (departing 2300)

JQ83 Darwin-Denpasar (departing 1610) / JQ84 Denpasar-Darwin (departing 1815)

JQ37 Sydney-Denpasar (departing 1735) / JQ38 Denpasar-Sydney (departing 2210)

JQ81 Darwin-Denpasar (departing 1930) / JQ82 Denpasar-Darwin (departing 2250)

JQ116 Denpasar-Singapore (departing 1445) / JQ117 Singapore-Denpasar (departing 1835)

Affected Jetstar passengers on services bound to or departing from Bali will be informed of their revised travel itineraries and re-accommodation options once determined, based on the flying conditions and the latest advice from the Darwin Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre.
