Dunno there, 30000 QFF points with a few more can easily have one well on the way to higher status
/requalification.

Posted on a wing & a prayer

How can QFF Credit Card Earn give you status and/or requalification?

I applied a weekj ago and then set of to PEK for a week.

Returned home to my letter of rejection from Macquarie - never had any HSBC product before.

Interesting - last month processed $65K through Cent and $30K through Citi Visa - never failed to pay off amount in full by due date in 30 years..

And yet Macquarie in their wisdom says I am questionable risk.

I am not accustomed to accepting rejection from insignificant cough upstart in-house HSBC credit risk assessors - will re-apply again shortly and again and again until I wear the f*ckers down - just as I did with Citi.

What have HSBC got to do with it? Macquarie Bank are the credit providers.

Sorry - my bad - typo - was just reading an offer I got from HSBC I also got in mail whilst I was away - don't be too hard on me I only arrived back at midday - straight to work - original post amended.

Just got home and my card was in the mailbox so it took six days from application to receive the card.

Did they call you for any thing like payslips or anything prior to getting the card in the mailbox?

I applied on Friday and received a text message this morning (Tuesday) asking for a current payslip. I faxed that through, so hoping to have the card shortly.

I applied Tuesday night and havent heard anything from them nothing nada zip nill zero!

Dear xx_,

Thank you for your recent request for a Jetstar Credit Card.

Unfortunately, we are unable to approve your request at this time as the information provided does not meet our credit criteria.

Yours Sincerely,

Brett Graham

Must be some interesting "credit criteria" they have! Considering my stated income was nearly 6 times the minimum income required to get the card, and my incomings far exceed my outgoings.

I wonder if I didn't get it because I earn too much, and therefore the chances of them making any profit out of their crazy interest rates is too low?

In contrast, I had no problem applying for and being approved for the Amex Plat Charge Card which has a minimum income 3.3 times that of this card.

Accidentally applied twice to the card, it's annoying that they send an email to confirm the application :(

20K of points is the net cost of a JASA that earns 140 SC or 25% SG requal ;)

Could you please give us an example of a 20k points JASA out of Sydney that earns 140 SC - sorry but I am nowhere near as experienced as you with all this.... Thanks in advance!

Nobody said anything about ex Sydney, if you look at the JASA sticky it should be obvious, it's 24K + $100 or so.

Hey guys,

I applied for this card about 10 days ago and haven't heard anything at all from anybody. Anybody else experienced this? Pretty poor form to not even send an automatic email.

I inquired with the Customer Service Centre yesterday, and they advised that it would take upto 10 business days before they get back to me. I applied early last week and had no confirmation until i called yesterday.
