Lmere said he changed the dates in his post!

I have had the same problem...an itin which could be viewed by changing the date...all of a sudden couldn't be viewed at all via the US site. The reservation was in order but it was a single carrier itin & I could pull up the details on the carriers website so felt comfortable enough about it. In lmere's case I might have a quick ring around operating carriers to see if all is well...or ask US first of course.

sorry, my bad. didn't see that had been tried... however useful for other people who might have the same problem.

note that changing the address bar doesn't always work if you are trying it on the second time... the screen just defaults to nothing. you need to do the change the very first time it comes back with the pop up.

the point is that there is now a couple of dates you can change to, not necessarily only the day before (for example if you change you ticket then it is the new departure day, not the day before that that seems to work)

Tks, nothing works:( I've checked through the different carriers and all seems to be there and confirmed still.

I've never got any of my itins to show up on the US airways site - never had any issues. I just confirm with the airline themselves that they have the booking and a ticket number (as MEL_Travller suggests).

this is unusual then. You need to contact US to make sure everything is in order. When checking with the different carriers you have confirmed they have ticket number against the booking?

TG shows all confirmed with a booking ref but no display of ticket number. Will call them all.. thanks:)

Confirmed doesn't necessarily mean confirmed! I had a confirmed flight which US later changed telling me the original booking, which was 3 months old by that time was, 'never confirmed' - TG disagreed but US went ahead and changed it anyway.

The TG site does show ticket numbers on the check booking page so that seems odd.

It shows the Booking Ref up the top and name and seat bookings below

this is a common problem.

Here's how to fix it:
1) try to retrieve your reservation in the normal way
2) close the pop-up box
2) have a look at the address bar in your browswer, you will see about 2/3rds of the way along a date embedded into the text
3) you need to play around with this date either: a) change the date to the day before it currently shows (for example if it is 20120918, change it to 20120917), or b) if you have made a change to the booking, enter the date as you are now going to travel (for exampe, you were originally booked on 20120918, but changed your reservation a week earlier, the address bar will still show 20120918, you will need to enter 20120911)
4) hit 'enter'
5) your reservation will now show in full

It's some quirk where the date defaults to the day after - might be something to do with the date line change between AU and the USA. In the case of changed booking it seems to keep the original date.
Thanks for the tip:D I can now see an upcoming reservation in full that I have been frustratingly been unable to see for many months!!

Confirmed doesn't necessarily mean confirmed! I had a confirmed flight which US later changed telling me the original booking, which was 3 months old by that time was, 'never confirmed' - TG disagreed but US went ahead and changed it anyway.

Just spoke to Thai airlines, they said the flights are all aok and they have the ticket number (not showing on the net) So it's all good. Wish I could see it all on the US website.

It does seem strange to me that *A doesn't have a website that acts as an umbrella for all these types of bookings. I understand that airline booking computers and booking systems are complicated beasts but checking various sites, fiddling with URL's or ringing up several airlines seems a bit archaic. Please be gentle when you explain why this is a stupid idea ;-)

Hi. I am traveling with an infant. When booking, US Airways insisted that I give the middle name for the infant (there are two middle names). They insisted on there being no space between them. When I checked my reservation online (US Airways - thanks to the date change tip), I have two middle names (spaced in the normal way) but the little fella does not. Should I be concerned about running into any problems? The spelling is fine but it is just the space issue? I think when I try to log onto Asiana (what a site!) it asks for no space in the first and middle name so I presume that is the reason?

No issue at all. Middle names mean nothing. As long as first name last name are correct don't worry about it.

Still no bonus miles promo?

Well it's less than 2 weeks since the last targeted one finished...

there is a promo on at the moment - 100% bonus. But you had to receive the email. So same as last round - invite only I'm afraid.

I got the offer last time, but not eligible this time (going to the buy miles page shows no bonus miles on the drop down)

The current promo runs to from the beginning to the end of september. So the next one won't be until October at the earliest.

Just as I am ready to buy I have not received the last TWO promos....a little worried my email address has been 'tainted' as I am yet to buy points since joining 12 months ago.

the current promo (and last one) said something about rebuilding miles given we had spent miles (or something to that effect). So if you haven't recently bought or redeemed miles you might not get the offer.

Each time I get the offer I do a small top up just to keep me on the list!

If you are a member of lifemiles (prior to 3 Sept) then that might be the way to go.
