Shocking! What kind of program are they running if they expect us to set foot on US Airways!
I think that's the point, they aren't expecting people to. But rather they are hoping that maybe when word gets out that that people who actually fly US get some sort of preference a few extra might.

Well it looks like they lost their own game of chicken...the promo now appears to be OPEN TO ALL! No additional login form pops up and I am offered buy + gift at +100%

I wonder if they weren't getting the take up they hoped for the targeted offer? Too much competition these days? LifeMiles...UA's 40% discount promos getting more prolific (I think there's one on now?).

Maybe there's just a bit too much miles selling going on!?

Is there a link to this promo? Went to US website but could not find anything. Need to buy more DM to plan a trip. Thanks!

I just logged in & navigated to the buy page...and there it was.

I opened up US webpage, and to buy page and got an error which said third party cookie disabled!

No. KFs can redeem in J on A380, 77W & A345...they generally aren't available to Star partners including US...you will only get J seats on regional / very old business products (A333, 773, 772ER etc)

I am looking for a trip to europe from north asia. I just would like to know if north asia -> europe -> australia would be north asia -> australia award or europe to australia award.
Thanks heaps

You think North Asia to Australia VIA Europe is not taking the mickey? I have no experience with the US program but common sense tell me this is not a North Asia to Australia award.

If they even let you do it! Unless of course that is the only routing available but I somewhat doubt it, though of course apparently there are a fair few Americans who wouldn't know where North Asia or Europe are (just quoting the statistics!)

you could probably open jaw this. It would be charged at the south west pacific to europe level. 120K miles in business or 150K miles in First.

Think I'm going to take a leaf out other members book here and buy a few miles this promo... just to keep the cog's turning.

Looking at a flight from PER-BKK-LHR. Plugged in some dates for June13. End it shows - PER-BKK in J, and BKK-LHR in F.
Id assume on the BKK-LHR route they would have J/F seating. But only seem to be able to book F.

Are these planes updated? As its a A340-600. Would need 150k miles, thus costing about 2.5k USD assuming both miles are bought on promo on different months.

business class might just be full for the flight you want. you could either introduce a stopover in Bangkok and take a later flight with business class, or fly to another European destination. the A346 is not updated, they hae angled lie flat seats, although who knows by June next year what aircraft type TG will be flying to London.

there are lots of other options out of Bangkok, youre not limited to TG.

So does anyone redeem SQ flights using SQ miles or you don't bother as they won't give you 77W or A380?
