Hi All
Can anyone confirn that Perth is lumped in as South Pacific on the partner award chart, or is it central/south asia??
Thanks in advance
You don't need the email. Just log in and try to buy and you will get a pop-up asking for your name and number. If you are eligible you will then be offered the miles with 100% bonus.
It seems to be more broadly targeted than it appears. We have 8 accounts for family members but so far have only got 3 emails. But on checking the website all 8 accounts are able to buy or gift with bonus. Not all of these accounts bought miles last year. However all did participate in the share miles in some way. Even the account that was only a recipient of shared miles is able to participate in this offer.
Definitely South Pacific.
I have been ticketed out of PER, and can confirm that Perth is "considered" part of Australia, and that Australia is part of the South Pacific region for USDM. (Gotta enjoy those South Pacific sunsets over the Indian Ocean.)Can anyone confirn that Perth is lumped in as South Pacific on the partner award chart...
I'm checking the wording on the email and it says "Buy up to 50,000 Dividend Miles and get 100% more in bonus miles" and it further says "The maximum number of Buy and Gift Bonus miles that can be received by one member for this offer is 50,000 bonus miles".
So, can I buy 50,000 miles for myself AND gift 50,000 to someone else and get the bonus on both transactions?
The recipient will get the bonus when you gift, not you. Also don't confuse gifting and sharing.
50,000 into 1 account and 50,000 into another account - do they both get the bonus?

Not sure I'll be seriously into this one given I already have flights booked in July, and no more serious plans this year. While this is a good deal not so good if you have no real burn plans and the potential merger is hanging over US.
Having said that I would find another transfer bonus hard to resist (since we have 5 family accounts) but hard given all of our accounts down to a few thousand miles, may pay to bump at least one up to 50K to seed any future transfer bonus. Of course there may be no transfer bonus this year but ~46K isn't that much of an investment when we have a bonus in place.
It has probably been asked before, but are the redemptions in the "Dividend Miles Partner and Star Alliance Award Travel Chart" for a return fare? I'm interested in SYD-SIN-HKG-SIN-SYD, would I be able to do this in J for 90,000 points? Also, the current version of the PDF has this listed "2) Award redemption on the Singapore Airlines Suites, First Class and Business Class cabin products on the A380, B777-300ER and A340-500 aircraft is currently unavailable". If I can't use the points in J on Singapore Airlines it would defeat the purpose of buying the points in the first place.
What's people's thoughts on sq regional j? Doesn't look too bad!

Hmm, that is a good point so maybe a couple of thousand miles for those accounts.might be worthwhile buying a small parcel - just in case they have another targetted promo later.
Agree, I was extremely impressed flying on "only" J on Asiana with the service and food. It was one of my favourite dining expereinces of the year and I have been to a few highly recommended restaurants last year so I'm not comparing it to Hungry Jacks.Singapore Airlines isn't the 'be all and end all of the first class' flying pinnacle. They are fantastic but there are some very very very good F products out there as well. For example from around mid-September Thai Airways will be servicing an A380 on the SYD-BKK route (I think TG476/475) and then connect onto HKG with an A380. From start to finish, especially if you have never flown F or even J, you will be blown away ....... and for not much more than the price of an economy revenue ticket
