I didn't know it but apparently after Saturday night I need to get to BKK via FRA in F! :shock: :p ;)

He has convinced me for my trip to Thailand I should go to FRA in F with a stopover in BKK! ;)
 
Guys I got some tickets on hold now for my parents flying PER AKL in J. I'm about to pay for the first time what happens once I pay where do the tickets go to and how to I send them to my folks ? Can they have any issues at the airport because I brought them with my account ad I'm not flying !

once you have paid for the booking you will be given a reference. US Airways will tell you they will send you an email summary... it is unlikely that summary will ever come... mine hasn't for the last 10 or so trips.W

With the reference number for US airways, you should also get one for Air New Zealand. Ask the US agent for this. Wit the Air New Zealand reference you can go on line to air new zealand manage booking section and make sure everything is ok.

When your parents arrive at the airport all they need to do is present their passports. Air New Zealand will do the rest.

It can be a bit of a worry not having any tickets in hand, but they can ask at check-in for a copy of the itinerary and receipt so they will have that with them.

Make sure the correct amount of miles are deducted for the ticket. If US makes a mistake, make sure you correct them. you dont want the audit department checking the account and cancelling the tickets.

Do your parents have the same surname as you? If yes, no worries. If no... then there is a remote possibility that US Audit will look at your account and launch an investigation. If they do this they will not necessarily tell you!! You need to log on to your account to make sure it is active!
 
All paid for taxes plus booking fees come to $500. On US airways the confirmation number confirmed payment on my visa I asked for a reservation number for air nz I checked on air nz website it's not finding my itinerary I have also not received a confirmation email from US air.

as I said above... you won't get an email from us airways.

the $500... that includes to cost to purchase the miles? otherwise $250 per person seems too high for a simple per-akl ticket.

you haven't confirmed if your parents have the same surname as you?

payment on your visa card doesn't mean too much unfortunately :) the only thing that matters is a ticket, and a valid reservation In the system.

sometimes reservation look ups on other airlines systems can be a problem. you can try to ring air new Zealand in Australia and reserve seats etc, but they may not talk to you as you are not the passenger in the reservation! (privacy issues) - it's not normally a problem if you just start the call by saying 'I have booked tickets for my parents and would now like to reserve a seat...'
 
Take the PNR given to you by USAirways and go to the Manage My Booking on the USAir website.

The USAir PNR will work and you will be able to view your booking.

I cant send them there with nothing doesnt look right and they not feel comfortable. Air NZ can see the tickets and i did select the seats thru them . She asked me 3b , 3c , and across 3d or 3b 3c and 4b ?

If booking seats on SQ ex SYD am I correct in thinking that US cannot hold seats for the normal 72hr period as SQ seats need to be booked at point of call?

99/100 times the confirmation emails are never sent so there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

If it's all booked, you should be able to view the PNRs through the US Airways website, although I have had issues with this in the past and had the change the date in the URL to get it to show properly. From there you can click the button to email the itinerary.

You can also call the airline that you're actually travelling with to get the PNR details from them. This can be useful for requesting things specific to the airline, like pre-booking F meals on TG as an example.

I called my bank there was the one charge only of $330 which works out to be $349US. But not the $50 I will probably call them to make sure they charge me or should I leave it ?

Also air nz as states can see the booking with the reference number she gave me but can't enter it into the website have to call the res number. Also air nz said us air should email me and I take that to the airport . I haven't got that yet I called twice for them to send it dot understand why they can't .

Once you log into the us air website you can email the booking or print it out Which I did .

I too would like to know why they just can't send the email useless people .

the $50 per person will be billed separately on the card and may take a few days to show up.

I don't know why the emails don't come through. I was with an agent once when she hit send... and she waited with me but it still didn't come! even checked my spam and it wasn't there.

she then tried my hotmail and it came through (rather than the gmail).

it's some it glitch.
 
I gave my hotmail bigpond and today @live checked all junk mail nothing . This isn't as easy as it sounds ring us airways book flights in J. alot of the agents don't know what they doing and if they stuff up they don't call you or notify you to fix it they just cancell your flights

sorry to disagree mate, but it really is dead easy.

I have never had a problem with it. the agents do know what they are doing most of the time. I don't see how it's possible for them to stuff up... you are with them on the call while they complete the booking and read it back to you.

you then pay and have the record locators. I don't see how at that stage they can cancel it on you.

you have previously had itineraries which have gone to the rate desk and not been allowed. I think it is great the agent will at least let you try and send it to the rate desk for approval. most of the itineraries you know in advance aren't going to be allowed.

e tickets to new Zealand in business class were someone like $500 each... I wonder what the economy are is? :)
 
I have never been overseas so I can't comment but i thought you would need at least a ticket to show . The booking stage is fine if your prepared but I'm referring afterwards once it's paid. You will receive an email I haven't received nothing . I Was told $349 for fees and $150 for taxes I got charged the fees no taxes .

From reading if things aren't correct they can come along and cancell your booking.So now I have to keep checking/calling they havent cancelled it .


I will wait a few days and see if they charge me again but why can't they charge it altogether ? A good thing is I used my citibank plat and didn't receive any further chargers
