Hi,
A q.
Background.
I am looking for SYD to NYC in May, and obviously I am not seeing much space on that route based on searching and from what everyone has said here - space on that leg is hens-teeth availability.
Thus, if there is no direct, then I am considering routing thru Europe to get to NY, with that thought in mind, and the flight time taken, I am now considering capitalising on it and taking the stopover option in Frankfurt or Zurich, with the destination in NY. (trying to avoid Asia as Ive been many times)
And then hopefully I will find a way back to SYD via Asia (ICN looks good).
Question is:
Q1. For a SYD - NYC - SYD, will the rules allow this to route thru Europe, and back via Asia. (when there are shorter mileage options via Asia both ways).
Q2. Is a stopover in Europe allowed in the rules?
thanks heaps, and I love this forum, checked daily for all your insights and banter.
Bob.
