Yes, BA Executive Club it is. It's free but won't accept anyone with an Australian address so make up a UK one. All you need is the number they will assign electronically. If you need to get a plastic card then you'll need a valid UK address because this is where they will send it. Most people don't need it so Royal Apartments, Buckingham Palace will doHmmm, knew how to use the ANA site to search for flights when in *A, but haven't really tried since the OW transition... Signed up for JAL membership tonight but didn't have much luck finding where to go and search for availability... Seems people also say BA is good for seeing all OW airlines, do you have to sign up for a membership in whatever the FF scheme is???
Their search engine isn't that great giving only a week's availability and showing phantom CX seats but in combination with JAL and Qantas you'll be all set
