To TG gurus
The exit rows in J are blocked out when I do the MMB @ TG site.
Should I call up for that or they remains unallocated until airport check in ?
I selected 12A but would prefer 16A if possible.
Thanks

I would be sitting downstairs on a TG 747 if flying business class! much much better than anything on the upper deck.
F is F on the 747 - don't think there is really much difference in terms of sleep quality. Privacy yes, but that's about it.
What are you complaining about? This is the plane with the new 9 F suites? Or do you prefer the older open style as I know some people find the suites too closed in.
The ancient recliners no longer exist. But what is F on the All-series? Isn't that the ancient blue recliners that normally do intra-asia?

ABT seems to suggest otherwise (we are talking about low-density configuration here).
I am confused.
In terms of pure space, head room and having a very quiet cabin free from passing traffic, the lower deck of the TG 747 wins hands down. Especially the front rows (22 and 23 - yes - even the one by the wall!)
Some people think the upper deck is 'the place to be' - based on some notion that it is 'exclusive' or something. But not really taking account of comfort.
There are some aircraft where the upper deck actually IS more comfortable (eg LH F, or BA J), and some cases where the lower deck is just so bad that the upper deck is better (Qf and BA).
But in TGs case where you have a nice small cabin, huge overhead bins, extraordinarily wide aisles, a dedicated WC, and almost no foot traffic, the lower deck would be the pick.
I agree fully with your views of TG. On the lower deck you have more dedicated attendants as well as the purser/CSM.
Also, lower deck makes it faster to get off flight, after F pax disembark.
Two heads are better than one.
Just migrated to lower deck !
Seems there is less seating downstairs too, unlike QF.
Q:
TG F (747) 9/10 seats ex SYD
Is 1A too 'close' to 1K ?
Single traveller
Would 2A/K be more 'private'?
I know everything is fine in F but maybe the gurus here know something I am yet to know.
Thanks

Well yes, there's a good reason for that! If you've given yourself an F seat eg 23F...don't expect a window! Two heads are better than one.

I selected 23A.
Why would 24 be preferable ?
Thanks
