Only problem is now there is actually no F space between Oz and HKG...
I know, and I am aware of the OP's desire to fly F - but if there is no other option, then J it would be. Some could argue that the CX J seat is as close to an F seat when sitting in J, but yes I am aware of the fact that it is not F.
I'd like a day in AKL if possible. I'd like a week or more in JFK and a week + in SFO.
So, probably no availability Oz - HKG. I could go via EU and have say 23 hours some place. Still hoping for F as much as possible.
If you want to do a <24 hr transit in AKL and visit both East and West coasts of the US and travel via Europe both ways (to maximise F), you would probably run into MPM issues.
My understanding is that SWP to East coast US via EU/ME is fine, West coast would exceed MPM.
SWP to East and West coast via HKG is fine.
Never booked it but have just read on here. JFK would be your destination because it is the furthest point (cf SFO) and you'd need to be aware of MPM issues both ways.
CBR-JFK MPM is 12,123. 25% is 15,153.
CBR-SFO MPM is 9,087. 25% is 11,358.
CBR-SYD-LHR-JFK is 14,178
CBR-SYD-AKL-SYD-LHR-JFK is 16,864
CBR-SYD-HKG-JFK is 12,813
CBR-SYD-AKL-HKG-SFO is 14,115
CBR-SYD-HKG-SFO is 11,667
JFK-SFO-HKG-SYD-CBR is 14,249.
Even without AKL, visiting both coasts of the US via EU both ways will likely be problematic.
It seems like your expectations or desires are unrealistic. To maximise F and avoid Oz-HKG in J and "stop" in 3 places on the single award would be almost impossible.
If JFK and SFO are your priorities and you are willing to forgo AKL, then it seems the way to get around MPM is to go:
1) RTW in a westerly direction, maximising F - this is pending F availability.
If you are lucky you could go CBR-SYD/MEL-LHR-JFK-SFO-LAX-SYD/MEL-CBR, with all legs in F except for CBR-SYD/MEL.
2) To and from JFK via HKG with a SFO stop in either direction.
Please let us know what you end up doing..
