Another day exploring Bukhara, walking the streets. We walked up to the ark of Bukhara and walked around inside. Quite impressive and big from the outside. Like all these things it amazes me how old they are. We walked our way back to the Poi-Kalyan for some more photos. It was midday by now and she is starting to heat up, 38 degrees. Speaking to a local she said best month is April. June , July it’s 50 degrees! We sheltered for lunch for some manti and juice and then wondered through the back streets to the chor minor. A cute little mosque with 4 minarets

We are now off to the train station to catch the train to Samarkand , we bought the tickets online through tutu.com six weeks prior.

Amazed at the lack of throngs of humans in most of your photos.

Either you are great at picking the moment or the places aren't that overrun with tourists.

I was only saying to Mrs HB yesterday , it’s amazing these sites and buildings and there is hardly any tourists. I find the locals friendly and they don’t pressure you to buy from their stalls. They all think we are Russian until we talk and we say Australia and their eyes light up and smile.

Just back at the hotel as it’s 36 degrees again about to go for a swim. Spent the morning at Registan square.
Breathtaking, amazing , unbelievable.
How this isn’t visited by millions of tourists a year like the Taj Mahal. The sheer size is huge.
We are staying at dilimah hotel which is about 10 minute taxi ride ($2) to the square But it has a pool thank god.
We will head back tonight to see it all lit up but here is some photos of Registan square

Another place I’d love to go.
You’re the perfect person to compare the pair !
