Huh? I do that all the time - swipe Velocity card, tap MasterCard. No problems at all.

I'm more confused by the suggestion that the mechanics of making a payment is somehow related to the amount of money a petrol station is making.

Kyanar, if you are using 2 separate cards, yes, can swipe and tap.
But I don't have a true credit credit card, mine is that VGW, so have to insert.
I have not yet used the VGW slide and another card as payment method though.
So in fact, we can use both the VGW and another card to get triple VFF points, ooooohhhhh... ((rubs paws in glee))...

As the VGW is a payment method - No you cannot pay twice for the same thing.

Just got this - so you get 500 points if you put 2L into the car? (minimum pump delivery according to the sign on the bowser). I just filled up from empty yesterday. Must drive somewhere...

I got a triple points offer. It will go unused as BP is usually dearer than everywhere else. I occasionally go there with the work car though. One of the more useless link ups IMO.

Same here. I live in South Sydney and Caltex (and everyone else for that matter) is consistently cheaper than BP
