VA & BP big announcment?

Mine states "no minimum spend required". It seems there are a few variants of this email. They are probably researching how the uptake of the offer varies with the conditions.
Yeah, I'd imagine they're running an A/B/C split to test the best version before releasing it to the full database.

For the record, a competition of any kind will never get me excited.

Why? The points are rounded up to nearest point. I forget the tipping point but something like 11.25L should earn 23 points.

So fill up with 44.35 litres. docket says 88 kites earned. No rounding up on that one, it seems.

I wonder how they determined the bonus point recipients? I only got the "free fuel" offer.

Look at this in the T&C:
Total prize pool: $336,000. If no entries received during a 1hr entry period, final draw at 12pm (AEDT) on 17 March 2016 (from all combined non-winning entries) will award any unwon prizes.

So we could be in it still!

It will be interesting to see if anyone on here wins anything.

I got offer of 6 points per litre. Perhaps it's because I buy petrol infrequently, and last time I filled up at Costco for $39. I'll do a BP top up this week.

I was more commenting on the idea that 0.5 litre would get one point. But useful to know that the optimum fill is just over xx.5 litres.

That's right - the optimum is exactly xx.50L - I always fill up this way to penny pinch on miles :p

My email didn't have triple points or bonus 500pts unfortunately. Funnily enough I got the email one day after filling up at BP, haven't filled up there for at least 3 years.

So the best way to get more points offers is to not use BP to fill up? I've been using them most of the time since the deal started and have only had one or two offers and none for a month or so. Still waiting on that $500 worth of free fuel! On the price issue all fuel around my way (Hornsby - northern suburbs of Sydney) flew up from 99c to $1.20 last week. On the Hume Hwy heading towards Melbourne the roadside stops were around $1.20. But in Goulburn it was $1.01 and Boorowa it was $1.03 at a Mobil and $1.20 everywhere else. Back in Sydney I found it for 99c out at Wallacia yesterday but $1.20 everywhere else except an independent in suburban Carlingford where it was also 99c.

No rhyme or reason for it.

Tried to fill up at one of the last remaining BPs in Darwin today and showed my Velocity card. Most BPs have been turned into Puma service station. Turns out even though this one was still a BP and I could use my BP fuel card, it is actually owned by Puma and as such not eligible. Literally nowhere in Darwin where this deal applies. Pretty disappointing.

Warks, did you on your VA FF/VFF account tick the box down the bottom of your profile to receive offers.
If yes, then don't fill up at BP for a while, and see what happens.

No email for me yet, but it would want to be good enough to make me want to pay 8c a litre extra.

I must have done so as I receive offers but only the 'lite' versions without any bonuses.

I wonder how long I have to not buy their fuel before getting an offer. Would it make up for the lost points I wonder?

I just got a 500 point BP bonus for January. I can't even remember what it was for now.
