Free fuel for Velocity card holders!

Reminded me of a competition a Sydney radio station ran back in the 80s for the petrol station that would sell the cheapest fuel. Not sure what their prize was apart from publicity but the winner offered petrol at 1c a tank! On the day people must have taken the day off work and the queues were amazing. There were reports of fights and people getting very angry when the petrol station ran out of fuel which was inevitable. All that to save what was probably $20-30 back then!

what i meant is that some only receive the email about going into the draw (myself). my mum on the other hand gets the one that you go into the draw and also get 500 bonus points (when filling up 30Lts)

I had to fill up yesterday and got my ear chewed off by the BP employee telling me in great detail this amazing new promotion. Sounds like they're being encouraged to actively discuss this at POS as well.
