Thought I would spread the word (if you have missed it), that Virgin has an offer going at the moment.
Transfer your points to Velocity and receive a 15% bonus. Participating partners include Amex, ANZ, City, Diners etc.

Personally I will need my ANZ points with SQ, but by transferring via VA, I get more points than if I were to transfer them directly to SQ, even if they dont have an offer going.

Yep a great deal! Have just transferred my ANZ points. They are like clockwork with these bonuses which is great.

I am just annoyed I haven't received my 75,000 bonus points yet!! :D Would be a welcome bonus :)

Yeah I have had mine come through already, was banking on being able to get another 15% out of it as otherwise would have gone the Qantas deal.

Just a query re transferring to SQ. I don't have an ANZ card, so don't know their conversion rates to Velocity or SQ, but does the 15% bonus on ANZ to Velocity outweigh the Velocity to SQ, 1.35 ratio loss?

It is actually more beneficial to do that way even without the 15% bonus.

ANZ Rewards to VA: 2:1
ANZ Rewards to SQ: 3:1
ANZ Rewards to VA: 2:1.15 (during bonus promotion)
VA to SQ: 1.35:1

Hence ANZ Rewards to SQ (through VA): 2.33:1.0 during promotion and 2.70:1.0 normally.

So definitely always better going ANZ>VA>SQ than direct ANZ>SQ.

Thanks ... I understand now. Hadn't counted on the 2:1 / 3:1 ANZ to other program ratios .. I'm looking at transferring from AMEX which is 1:1 for both VA and SQ, hence direct transfer to SQ better.

And at the end of the day somehow I am still one of the lucky ones earning 2 ANZ rewards points per $ on the Visa card. So $1:1.15 velocity on Visa and $1:1.72 on Amex.

Interesting and bugger! I just transferred 95000 yesterday manually not auto redemption!
Some comments on pointshack that you may well get the 15% ANZ bonus. Comment said bonus will be posted in a few days, please keep us updated;)

Okay, interesting. Will keep an eye on it over the next few days and see if it gets another 15% credited.

The ANZ T&C state that he will.

-15% extra "Boost Offer" for all May Transfers See 1/
- 15% Velocity Offer See 2/
- 5% extra " Austo Redemption Offer" if you opt for Austo redemption See 3/

So if you transfer in May, 30% is the minimum. 35% if you do via Austoredemption.

I did a straight transfer yesterday just to try it out and only got the 15%, not the boost you mention.... Will try an auto redemption and see what happens :)

That extra 20% (ANZ + auto-redemption) can easily help offset the 1.35 rate when converting to Krisflyer too. Definitely worth looking into.

Amazing offer from ANZ. with the 35% Velocity bonus, and the 1.35: 1 ratio, it is like 2 ANZ Rewards to 1 Krisflyer. Much better than the straight transfer.

I will definitely do auto redemption for this month, to transfer all the 75K bonus points across ....

Does anyone know where ANZ have formally posted the additional 20% offer apart from the leak to PointsHack. I'd hate to transfer and miss out on the 20% offer .
