VA Points / SC Credits - Anyone notice how slow it has become recently

Probably slower as the CEO's intern who used to process all this is on leave after giving away (up to) 1 billion points?y

Yes, it's pathetic really - last VA trip - 7 days and counting.

QF SCs post while I'm in the taxi home! Could only be more efficient if luggage was on the carousel before the plane lands....

8 days since I did a Mel-Bris return flight and nothing in my account yet.
Maybe the intern was sent to Perth to chuck a lemon meringue pie at Alan Joyce!

So the SCs earned on the 28th have not counted to re-qualifying despite jumping the 500 hurdle after activity on the 26th. I guess I'll have to send an e-mail...

I assume that they will acknowledge this and correct it?
I am in the same boat right now, My next outbound flight will move me up one level and then returning just a few days later.

I've noticed they've been slow. I recently flew to Europe on SQ. Points and SCs for the first leg to SIN had posted by the time I landed in Europe. Points and SCs for four domestic VA flights I'd taken earlier that week still hadn't posted (eventually posted a day after the SQ SIN-ZRH leg posted).

Yes I have noticed this, it is annoying. I recently attained SG (no free FlyBuys Explore here!) and some flights posted on 3-5 May, with an activity of 26 & 28 April - but my upgrade was processed on 29 April. So the SCs earned on the 28th have not counted to re-qualifying despite jumping the 500 hurdle after activity on the 26th. I guess I'll have to send an e-mail...

I think Must...Fly! if you have reached the 500 with your flight on 26th and then you fly 2 days later you should chase it up with VA

Who knows. It's been about a week since the last flights posted and nothing has changed.

I shall be doing so in the next week or so if nothing changes. It's a total of 35SC that had activity on the 28th, so it is not a particularly trivial amount.

Thought to be fair to VA, I was mysteriously upgraded to SG with only 495SC - perhaps someone had a look at my account and made a kind adjustment, seeing the flights to come - but had an unintended consequence.

I have recent experience (this week) of QF points & SCs taking 3 days to post. Not something I've seen happen before with QF mind you.

VA has always been haphazard, but sounds like it's getting worse. I remember flying MEL-SYD-AUH-BRU-AUH-MEL on a VA ticket, with all but the first sector on EY metal. The points and SCs for the EY operated sectors posted within a couple of days, but I had to submit a missing points claim for the VA operated sector, and then chase up the missing points claim as the point/SCs still didn't post for some time after that. Very hard to understand why points from VA operated and ticketed flights would take longer to post that those on most partner operated flights.

If your points and SC are not coming though just wait 2 days and put in an online missing points claim. I flew VA on Saturday and Sunday. By Tuesday there was no updates to my account, filled in the online claim on Tuesday evening, Wednesday both points and SC had been updated to reflect weekend travel.

Yes , I did similar ...very poor crediting . Swamp them with claims , they might get the hint.

This is the error message returned when trying to submit the claim, I am pretty certain I flew :P

Mr Jurahn flew PER-MEL-HBA on Monday and HBA-MEL on Wednesday, none of the 3 flights have posted yet, so will have to put in a claim for those (and quite likely for his flight back to PER today as well, the way things are going).

For the record: 10 days to post.

Worth the wait. What used to be 10 SCs each way posted as 15 and 25 under new fare structures!

Pethaps its these variations causing the delays?

i didn't bother with a retro claim because the trip was still showing in 'My Bookings'. So I knew it would turn up eventually. Probably would be different story if it meant the difference to retaining or gaining higher status.

Flew last Sat/Sun - no points yet for husband (WP) or me (NR)..... we splashed out on Flexis and used comp upgrades so maybe that explains it.

For the record, I earned more SC at Coles this month than I did flying..........
