"The new conversion capability will be available to members of both programmes from November as well as an improved online booking capability for Velocity Frequent Flyers to redeem flights on Singapore Airlines and SilkAir."

So technically, it could be November 30th....

The cynic in me says that Velocity and Krisflyer cannot agree on the TF ratio;)

Velocity points can transfer to Krisflyer account

Hi

I saw the news Velocity Points can transfer to Singapore airlines.(Which Take place some time this month)

Still they are deciding what will be the conversation rates.

So Hopefully it will happen this month.

Thanks
Kind Regards

I think you are spot on - good contact in SQ told me VA want 1 KF pt / 3 VA pts - SQ are demanding 1 KF pt / 5 VA pts - hopefully they will settle it soon. ;)

That's not a very good exchange rate for VA flyers wanting to TF to KF, and steal all those SQ suite awards:p

If 1KF = 3VA pts, then I think I will move my credit card points to KF and then VA :P

While we would all want parity at first glance............it may also mean that those of us who are now used to the very good SQ Award availability for J or F may see it should decline the dismal QFF levels for premium cabins if the 4.5 million VA members all cotton on. I shudder at the thought of having to return to the bad "ole days" of QFF redemption levels.

Cove's Cave may be about to turn into Cove's Bunkroom!!!

According to Amex VA and SQ are 1:1. Actually sometimes it is better for VA.

Interesting to see the actual conversion.

FrankC I had the exact same thoughts this morning, create a KF account, transfer Amex points to KF and then from there to VA... and ur points suddenly triple (someone said 1:5 also) in value....

Sadly, I doubt it'll be a bi-directional rate. Probably 1:3 VA-KF and 1:3 KF-VA.

Do you really think they will leave a loophole to milk points transfer to the max?

Likely that they can't agree on a suitable transfer rate.

That's a pretty big part of it. Methinks they should have agreed on it prior to announcing it. How about the booking engine ? It was also going to be available for SQ flights from the Velocity website. That's probably not done either.

Am I the only only person here starting to think VA and nothing short of blowhards? Full of huff and puff - but can never really catch a full sail of wind?
