NsW wants Feds to also use the 100 state run centres put in place for 1a, to accelerate roll out and I hope this happens.

None of the GPs listed for 1b are convenient for my parents who qualify in 1b.wheras some of the 1a sites are very close by.

6 hours post AstraZeneca and no side effects so far, not even a tender arm (unlike the Flu vacc). The immunisation itself is also painless, just a tiny jab. Guess if nothing tomorrow then no more to report until the next round in mid June. Medicare Vaccination history has been updated too.

I had prefilled everything and was called in, vaccinated and in post waiting area within 10 minutes.

There’s some clinics in Brisbane saying that they received only 80 x vax for this week, and have been told to expect another 100 next week, so they only plan on administering over two days each week at the moment.

My most painful by many orders of magnitude was my HRIG shots. Tetanus not even rating by comparison, though yes arm tender for a while.

Having been bitten by a monkey on a sea kayaking trip I elected to be prudent and have the rabies vaccination, as one simply can't wait and see if rabies develops.

You left out what sounds like the most interesting bit of the story! How did a monkey bite you while on a sea kayaking trip???

Especially as Sea Monkeys don’t really exist in the wild. They are an aquarium ‘shrimp’, and do not carry rabies. 🤣

I haven't heard anything to the contrary, so assume I'm still on track for this Sunday

Almost 24 hours later and - nothing to report here. Absolutely no indication that I'd had the vaccine. Maybe it's the immunocompromised thing?

The only thing I did have last night was a period of sneezing multiple times, and coughing and nose blocked and feeling like I was getting a cold. I checked temp as I felt warm and it was only 36.5. Told husband I was getting the Chimpanzee virus that the vaccine was developed from and that kept him away from me for the night. Then within an hour - all gone. Likely to be just one of those random non related things.

Managed to get the AZ yesterday. The clinic said that they had quite a few doctors (not associated with this clinic) who were receiving the jab that day.

Just to add, there has been nothing noticeable whatsoever since, with the arm or other symptoms.

Colour me disappointed 🙁. Just when I was finalising my list of questions to ask once I have my direct line to Bill Gates implanted 😜
Well as I mentioned in the other thread, while I was doing my 15 minute wait I lost all mobile data access there and thought that I would then be connected to 5G. Sadly no. 🤷‍♀️

Possibly, the vaccine basically tricks the body into mounting an immune response, so people will have different responses based on the strength of their immune system.

My parents had the AZ vaccine this am...fine so far. It seems from my anecdotal hospital reports, the younger you are, the more likely to get side effects from the first dose of the AZ vaccine which are often more severe. Hearing reports of some having to take sickies the following day! The main side effects are lethargy, fevers up to 39 degrees and myalgias. Sore injection site was almost inevitable.

Now 24 hours after the AZ vax. No symptoms/pain/discomfort for me. Nothing. A bit of a fizzer so far, based on some reports. 😉
