Velocity 20% bonus points on transfers offer - November 2023 to January 2024

Just called about this and they are insistent that the points will credit on the 29th (tomorrow). Not confident but always happy to be wrong and have my expectations exceeded.

So obviously nothing has credited and I’ll be ringing again tomorrow to express my displeasure. What is the correct body to lodge a formal complaint to in this instance if it comes to that? It was a Velocity promotion so not AFCA I’m assuming.

So, nobody has received bonus points relating to ANZ, regardless of manual or auto transfers? I enabled auto transfer and later cancelled the card.

No bonus from ANZ for me or my wife, I'm not looking forward to chasing these up....

Would be a consumer affairs body

This is a Velocity Frequent Flyer offer and can be withdrawn or changed without notice. This offer is not made by ANZ.

They told me they can do a manual application of points tomorrow which will take a further 5-7 business days…

Presumably requiring a statement of ANZ points transferred during promotion? Did they give you an email address to use?

No, she said she’ll monitor my account and if the point aren’t credited today she’ll apply a manual transfer tomorrow

Very disappointing, seemingly no-one on this forum that selected auto transfer on ANZ has had the bonus points processed by Velocity, with no advice as to why.

Just got off a call with Velocity, she said they're encountering a "system issue" and to wait until end of today to see if they will post, otherwise to call back next week and they will escalate it to the proper team.

Confirmed that I am eligible so I guess I can go ahead and cancel my card.

Thanks for letting us know.

Called again and got told by the person on the phone they are working on the issue and to wait 7 days. Told them if the points weren’t there in 7 days I will be lodging a complaint. Sounds like they have had a lot of people ringing about this issue and they may be a little flustered. Not my problem, I just want my points! 🤬

Bonus has now credited. They fixed that issue quickly so credit where it’s due.
