Thanks for the update What do you suggest those of us who applied early (many on 26 August) and have now been waiting longer than the 4 weeks advertised do? Should we re-submit our applications prior to Friday? While I am super grateful to you for this fabulous status match offer, it is frustrating being in limbo not knowing what is happening with our match request and seeing the end of the offer approach..... Would appreciate your advice.

Best bet may be to flick Virgin Australia a PM with your details, so they can look into it.

Got to QF Gold on Sunday so sent in VFF status match on Monday. Today my account shows Gold
Like the rental car & hotel program optional upgrades as well.

Ended up calling Velocity last night to see what was happening and they said I should check my status online today. Well I just did and it's finally showing as Gold!! So 4 weeks and 5 days all up, but better late than never!! Thanks Virgin Australia, look forward to sampling the new product shortly

I'm now at 4 weeks plus 3 days since I submitted the updated application for a Platinum match. I called the contact centre yesterday and after some checking they confirmed they have received the email and I should know by the end of the week if the match is approved. The gentleman I spoke to yesterday couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

Fingers crossed it comes through.

Nice to see that Velocity are working through the backlog, but how many are still awaiting. The follow up seems to work, as they appear to have a log of the applications at least.

I had Cruiserettes and my own matched on Sept 13 at 8am in MEL - still no 'package'.

So, Husband did his first Virgin flight since the gold upgrade and he was very pleased. Second on board, first row in economy, brand new plane and more leg room than Qantas Business class. Asked me not to let anyone know about his new secret!

So i should see it by app 10th October.

Yup, we have already done that. Hubby was very impressed with the new plane, extra leg room in Row three, and a surprising free meal to boot!

Firstly to answer.
Match to Platinum processed 9 September - pack arrived 27 September.

Secondly - what's with the interest in 'the pack'?
Who cares? My primary level of interest is the benefits, another plastic card is of little value.
Does everyone put all these things on their bags? I only have them on checked bags for the NGCI system.
To clarify - I'm not trying to be rude or insulting; serious questions - what's the attraction to the pack?
