I use:
Priceline AMEX for Masters (2/$), ALH (2/$), Supermarkets (3/$), Fuel (2/$) and Dans (2/$). All good point earns (pity about Masters situation) and the ability to warehouse in AMEX MR.
Velocity Plat AMEX for VA (3/$), Hilton (2/$) and Restaurants (3/$), also good earn.
NAB Velocity AMEX for QF, taxis, duty free and any AMEX purchases except those listed previously and that returns (1.5/$).
JQ Plat M/Card for JQ (no card fee), hire cars (good excess reduction insurance), and any non-amex purchses and returns (1/$)
I'm now obviously on the lookout for good cards to use either the MR warehouse rather than VA and for QF. The JQ has recently been restricted in the 1/$ to about $1500 a month (or something similar) so hopefully I can tie in warehousing ability with good visa/mcard earn.
I didn't realise that. Thanks!FYI, your Velocity Plat Amex pays 2/$ on airlines, including QF.

My families VFF point totals:
Daughter - 0
Daughter - 0
Son - 0
Wife - 0
Me - 0
I'm not sure if it's a good move or not (VFF will probably now bring out a point burn promo just to spite me), but being honest, I worry about the direction VA/VFF is heading. On the brighter side, my KF points tally is now looking quite healthy, to the tune of a couple of return EU suites!
I meant CC for KF points?. Of OT please post in appropriate thread
Im sorry that you remain disappointed however after further review our position remains unchanged.
The only possibility is if youve flown with Virgin Australia in the last 12 months or with a partner airline in the past six months and the flight activity hasnt been recorded (excluding activities from Family Pooling).
If you think that might apply to you, please send any supporting documentation to me and Ill do what I can to validate your claim.
Im sorry I cant do more for you. If you would like to refer to the Terms and Conditions of membership youll find them at www.velocityfrequentflyer.com.
When we read of more cutbacks to come as they're still losing money, it's no wonder you received such a rubbish reply. This reeks of desperation at the highest corporate level. I cannot believe they are choosing to be arrogant, obstinate and stupid instead of simply realising they were caught out with their con and just offering the points back with a lame excuse of something like "this time we will, but.....". They must really be bleeding from the eyeballs to be so shallow. So an update.

Your Velocity Points do not expire provided you remain an active member, which means earning or redeeming Points.
We have noticed that you have not had any eligible activity within your Velocity account and as a result your current Points balance of 1,299 will expire unless you earn or redeem Points by 31 October 2016*.
In line with recent program updates:
Points will not expire until 36 months after the date of your last eligible activity if performed prior to 1 June 2016
Points earned from 1 June 2016 will not expire until 24 months after your last eligible activity
Transferring Points between family members or receiving Points from a Family Pooling relationship are no longer considered eligible activity.
I am a bit nervous now. Does cc and petrol etc count to keep points extant?
I would be checking that the email address associated with the Velocity account is valid and that the email is not in a spam folder. Here is the text of the email received for a Velocity account that was to lose points at the end of October:

This same email was received every month for the 3 months leading up to the end-date. For this account is was less than 1300 points at risk.
I will say, in all my years of being a Velocity member, I simply do not get their emails.
I've check the address, checked spam but nope. Never once received their happy hour email as well. Total mystery.
