Re: Velocity Redemptions on Etihad - No business class availability from Europe for 2

I rang every week for 6 months and not ever could I get J London Brisbane flights. Y not a problem but not what I save my points for! I have points with both so used up all the Q points for this trip. My experience with VA is that US and domestic point flights are easy but partner especially in J nearly non existent (although in the past have booked J BNE-SIN) and this is pre sabre.

I have had no issue with multiple J bookings with Etihad right up until even last week. Use Athens as a way out of Europe as loads of availability from there to AUH and then AUH to SIN or AUH/MEL/SYD/BNE

Interesting! Over the years in J and once or twice F with Etihad (with whom I always had a good flight and service) I have flown into/out of FRA, BRU, MAN, and MXP. I always check MUC and GVA and now with AMS there's a good selection into Europe. Never thought of Athens but will add it to searches in the future. Thanks.

Hi mella2007,
Any sample dates? Wouldn't you have to pay extra points for {Europe}-AUH-SIN-MEL/SYD/BNE?
