Velocity reinstates Singapore Airlines redemptions

I've also been searching the same and noticed it too.

Right now there is BNE-SIN-LHR available as one booking for May 2nd and 4th May 2023 so it's possible just hard to secure

Ah - lack of attention to detail on my part then. Appreciate your reply - I hope we are looking at different dates and that I don’t pinch a date you’re keen on :D

You're welcome and nah, I'm looking at many options - including AMS/CDG/FRA.

LHR is actually my last option I'm looking at lol :) Good luck!

I've also noticed all of those flights are on an A380/777-300ER. Not sure if that was the case a few weeks ago.

Anyone able to see any MEL-SIN or SYD-SIN rewards seats in J? Can't see any, even up to May 2023.

The availability Velocity sees on SQ is directly linked with KrisFlyer Business Saver availability. It's been well documented in this thread that SQ pulled all of this on the SYD-SIN and MEL-SIN routes last week when they announced the upcoming KrisFlyer devaluation. I expect some J rewards may return after 6 July.

They are not known as the Master Race for no reason. :)

I think people have simply wanted to use all their points pre-devaluation. If that's the case then it's unlikely anything will pop-up after 6th July...more likely when/if people decide not to fly.

If it is of any interest, I was able to secure SIN-MAA Y return on SQ using VA points for Aug 2022. Booked it on 13/06 Monday

I have been looking Jan 2023 and still plenty of J availability, only problem is I can see BNE-SIN 18/1 SQ246 and SIN-LHR 19/1 SQ308 available as separate flights but BNE-SIN does not show as available. This likely means that it will cost more points or can it be done as a connection by ringing call centre?

I am just about to cancel 5xJ awards SQ241 SIN-SYD 18 Apr 23 (mid school holidays). Not sure if they will reappear but get in quick if they do. Good luck 😀

Ps: 25 minute wait at 8.15 this morning but agent very effective

PPS: they are there
was this booked thru velocity website

So this thread was about Velocity transfers to Kris flyer orig on Feb 2022 .. ahs anyone heard any progress?

Is there a way to select your seats on SQ redemption bookings? I can't via either Singapore Air website, VA Website or either call centres.

When they are ticketed you can do it on the SQ website or on a partner website if it is a partner airline. But no ticket means no seat reservation.

Yes, and specifically, from my experience waitlisted segments are not 'ticketed' or 'confiirmed' with no option to select seats.

We have been ticketed. I can see my seats on the SQ website but all (except mine) are greyed out. A dummy booking confirms there is still seats available.
