Velocity Shop and (NOT) earn

I have used the eBay shop and earn a lot of times and never had issues with that one... although I am curious as to what information is view-able by Velocity/Virgin staff... can they see the hundreds of things I've bought on eBay..?
 
I had the same issue on two PCs, the common denominator was Chrome. To get the points I'm temporarily using MSIE when buying through the eStore.
 
+1. Went to do some shopping over the weekend and gave up. Will wait until they fix it ...

Ok so I used Chrome & Safari to no avail, which leads me to think that it's a systematic problem to all browser, but after the comment from Jaian I tried IE on my windows machine and it works, which is good, at least I can still shop with estore one way or another :) Thanks Jaian!
 
Oh, Ive been getting this too when I work on Chrome.

It does work when Im in IE though.

I thought it was just my computer.. silly me, I should always assume its VA's sucky website first :)
 
I couldn't get around it in IE either... same issue there.. I've sent an email to platinum@velocity asking them to fix it.
 
I had the same issue - workaround is to right click the SHOP NOW button and open in either a new tab or window. Works in Chrome and Safari

Got a reply from Platinum @ Velocity:

I have checked with our team and there is no known issue with eStore. In order for me to escalate this error please send a screenshot and attach it as a PDF or JPEG file and make sure that the file name will not have any special characters/symbols (*, &, -,, $, etc.).

Bit disappointing response given I sent them a screenshot initially. Also if a customer came to me having technical problems with one of my platforms I would try use said platform myself as the first response rather than just checking if anyone knew of any issue...............

Over the last few days, there has been a reported error on the Velocity eStore website; however, as of yesterday, I can confirm that the error has been resolved and you may now purchase items once again through the eStore. If you are still encountering issues, kindly let us know and we will investigate further.


It looks like the fix was just to make the "Shop Now' link open in a new window !
 
A bit OT, but quite annoyed today to receive Charles Tyrwhitt catalogues for both myself and Mr Jurahn - they had the Velocity eStore branding, and yes, I know that's why they collect our details etc etc. However - firstly, if we wanted catalogues from this company (which we don't), we'd sign up for them, and secondly - and what REALLY irks me - is that Velocity have provided this company with our home address, not our PO Box. I understand Velocity needs to have our home address, but extremely unimpressed that they would just hand it out to a third party when we've given them our PO Box which we use for all correspondence (for personal/privacy reasons). NOT happy at all.

I am writing a complaint email to Privacy @ Velocity.

In my profile I have my home address but have a "business address" which is selected as "Preferred Postal Address" which they have ignored also.

Additionally to your correspondence I have zero mail sent to home as it is insecure with many residents at my location constantly having the letter box locks broken and items stolen.

Same here, our PO Box is the preferred postal address on both our Velocity profiles. There have been numerous incidences of mail theft in our area as well, hence we got the PO Box some time ago. We NEVER give out our home address for mail, or for parcels if we can avoid it as there's nowhere a parcel can be left that isn't visible from the street (yet ANOTHER reason for the PO Box!!).

Yep, similar issue here, lock keeps getting vandalised, gave up and don't get mail at home anymore.

Annoyingly got a response from the privacy email saying they have forwarded to velocity...

Did it stop working again? I can't even login now, keeps redirecting me back to the normal FF page and not the eStore page. Tried all 3 main browsers. Can someone try? I know I did alot of big purchases (~15k points earned in the last month) so maybe I've hit the cap or my acc got suspended from earning too much points? I don't have the patience to go through T&C's. lol

Not just you, they've updated the page (obviously without bothering to run through a Test environment before deploying to Production), and I can't get to the eStore logged in without being directed to the main Velocity Page.
