Velocity to partner with 7-Eleven

I received the email, but given the nerest 7-11 is 10km away, like all the other offers it let is slide.

Aside from the distance issue I don't need to earn a SC until at least March.

(FWIW, I deemed not worth my trouble to even get the original 711 points.)

was this offer in a Virgin email? Today? I can't see it in the app and have no emails about it (yet) - or was it on the Velocity website? I did just check my offers but couldn't see anything new.

Both myself and SWMBO received it via email.

Neither of us have earned a single point through this partnership as it has simply been of no value.

Got the email today too. Won’t be using as 711 overpriced.

I think it's a generic promotion. I often buy a $1 coffee so this promo will net something like 20 additional points. hmm

Only time I have earned points from 7-Eleven was with a targeted offer which netted an extra 200 points.

And of course, I pocketed 711 bonus points when they launched their partnership.

There are sugar free flavours :)

Yes they sure so - you don’t even want to know what they pump into them to get the sweetness and flavour maintained in a semi frozen state 🤮

I’d prefer just a free water or kombucha or similar but you know, it’s not in their best interests :)

Haha Kombucha, now there's a gimmick drink.
Flavour of the day.

Wow ummm… where to start… Maybe the white western boomers just discovering it in their multinational chain stores may think this is is the case, but it’s actually been around for hundreds and hundreds of years in Asia before it became mainstream. So there is the brief un white-washed history for you…

I’ve it had home brewed for me all my life. I certainly am glad I don’t have to make it like my Mum does 😂.

Ha yeah right cos the way it's produced in mass volume & packaged & thrown on our commercial shelves resembles anything like the genuine historic version of the product.

It's western trash pretending to be the goodness of something it's clearly not.
I'd be sticking to how your mum made it, like all old skool products, make them the original way or your just pretending & succumbing to western commercialization.
Imo of course.

All VA need to do is serve Kombucha on board and @jakeseven7 will be back on the Bain bandwagon ;)

I’m not paying for it onboard 😂

I already have 3 flights booked with VA2. Personal only though. It’s my work that took VA2 off our travel roster for many reasons - which makes it harder for me to get any status anymore, especially if 711 is so tardy with their credits 😂
