I bought a teleporting machine just for this.

I live in Sydney, but I often lock prices from Brissy and Melbourne because LPG is always more expensive in Sydney. Which is also why I don't link my account to Velocity, I use burner e-mail addresses. At $10+ saving each tank of LPG, I can afford investing a teleporting machine, and VA points is the least of my worry!

My best discount is 50c per litre but regularly get 20-30c per litre. When I got the 50c one, the operator at the 7-11 congratulated me on such a great saving.

Even today I can see $1.73 and $2.20 in my vicinity, so its not hard to get a big discount if you lock near one at purchase at the other.

I got a 50c saving last week, saved over $13 on 30L.

Bummer about the 25c limit now. Still good value but I regularly get 30-35c per litre discount through the app without legging it across town. Locked near work, fill up near home when low.

I think they could have came up with a better solution, such as when you price lock you have to use the price lock within 100km of the price locked fuel station or within a deemed "cluster".

In Perth my local 7-11 can be 161.9 on a Tuesday and 219.9 the next day. So instead of price locking on the Tuesday and using on the Wednesday to save queuing at the pumps you will source other cheaper fuel.

is 217.9. +1 locked it at a 7 11 in Western Sydney 6 days ago at 161.5...time to fill up at a saving of 56.4 cents per L...bah this 25c cap rubbish.

Have P98 locked in at 183.5 but the two nearest 7-11s to me are both currently 239.9...

Similar for p95 in my area - my 3 nearest are at 231.9 and then the next one is at 183.9. There's always a ~50c gap between them, so am fairly irritated by this change. 22 minute drive to the cheaper joint, other 3 within 5 minutes.
