Vinomofo Wine Deals

Sure. Just picked the first French wine in the VM list. Bois Royal Bordeaux. Just under 4 Euros in France, just under $8 in the USA. Claimed $40 RRP here. Not that I was thinking of buying this, just picked the first cab off the rank. I'm sure we can all check things out like this. Even WET, GST and import tax don't make up the difference
Any recommendations for honest importers/retailers?

Couldn't find anything on unwrap or Vm uncovered for this one

Shiraz 2016 – Black Market Deal #45421 - Red Wine | Vinomofo Australia

How else can i find out what is it?

after google searching it... my guess this is Lights valley shiraz..

I bought it yesterday on spec as I couldn’t find out what it was either. Mind you by the time I receive it it will be sold out.

I haven’t order anything from them yet, but it looks interesting. Small importer that personally selects wines and offers “pre-order” pricing that seems reasonable. I am on their mail list and will order once I reduce my wine stocks somewhat.

This keeps popping up. Sold out again this time. Does anyone recommend?
I generally stay away from wines with no prior history, winemaker details, vineyard or provenance.

Where you're missing these, it sounds like Joe Bloggs goes to some overstocked, struggling winery in SA .... buys up their cleanskins, pops a couple of labels on them with a website, then sends the wines to Sam & Friends to get 95+ ratings, before jacking up the price and sending to online stalls to onsell.

However I may be wrong and Joe Bloggs could actually be Peter Gago (12th interest rate rise side hustle).

Rinse, repeat.

Yep the lack of provenance is a bit of a clincher, there seems to be a proliferation of wines out there at the moment that attempt to draw you in with massive RRPs (and bottles) but zero credibility, aided and abetted by "he of the black doris plum and cut and paste reviews..."
