Vinomofo Wine Deals

From the VM Broker today, no idea what it is.
Our favourite Tas producer has discovered some 2016 back-vintage reserve Pinot in their cellar, and have sent it our way to pass on to you. This beauty has 4 stars on Vivino, and after a goodly amount of resting time in bottle, is a beautiful, silken drop with tertiary forest floor and mushroom notes underpinning a remarkably fresh fruit profile of red cherries. The best part? It's only $27.50 down from $70 per bottle in a 6-pack. There's less than 100 cases available, so get in touch quick before it's gone.

VM "favourite Tas producer" is usually/often Riversdale, maybe back vintage Centaurus, current 2020 vintage is $70.
It is vivino 4 stars Riversdale Centaurus Pinot Noir | Vivino United States

If it is 2016 Centaurus I sent this wine back to Cellarmasters after buying it in 2019.

I generally stay away from wines with no prior history, winemaker details, vineyard or provenance.

Where you're missing these, it sounds like Joe Bloggs goes to some overstocked, struggling winery in SA .... buys up their cleanskins, pops a couple of labels on them with a website, then sends the wines to Sam & Friends to get 95+ ratings, before jacking up the price and sending to online stalls to onsell.

However I may be wrong and Joe Bloggs could actually be Peter Gago (12th interest rate rise side hustle).
Yep, wineries like "Devitt and Moore" and "Archery Road" which are just CW Wine "upbadge" labels.
TBH, got fooled, too and will be more careful in the future. At least it should be from brick and mortar winery and not a post box...

I was particularly pleased a while back when someone asked me if they should buy some massively discounted wine from 'Keil Estate' and I was able to find via google a web page which explained the thinking behind its recent 'reinvention' for the 'global market'.

Make of it what you will. It seemed all very weird to me!
