After ordering 3 cases of Sharktooth I finally tasted it tonight.
It is very smooth, very pleasant and easy to drink but… That is all… No ‘2nd palate’, nothing that stays in your mouth like you would expect from a ‘$70´ wine. I’m a bit disappointed. It is worth what I paid, no issues with that. I was just hopping it was a great deal not just a fair deal!
I will taste an other one tomorrow to confirm my feelings.

2016. Tasted it again tonight after letting it breath in the decanter for a couple of hours and I’m still not impressed. Oh well, I will let it rest for a few weeks and get back to it later…

I did the 16 and 17 back to back again this weekend after doing it last week and a bit ago. 17 again my preference being more fruit forward but the 16 still going down very well this evening. No complaints. Looking forward to the 15 edition.

Going to a BYO tonight- will crack one (2016) open and see. Probably without much airing.

Opened it and first impressions are, brightish red fruit dominant without being over acidic. Subtle tannins and just a little touch of oak. I preferred 2015 as 2016 seems a little bit single dimensional and lacking the complexity of 2015. Not a super long finish but nice lingering at the end.

Edit. Got a lot better with time.

I think they should compensate the amount being the Street Value of the product less the amount originally charged to compensate properly.

The right thing to do would be to substitute another vintage.
