Vinomofo Wine Deals

Any clues on this one?
Shiraz 2021 – Black Market Deal #49415 Barossa Valley

I've got access to 19 three-packs only of an ultra-premium, incredibly cellar-worthy Coonawarra Cabernet from one of the oldest and most respected names in the region.

We were only able to grab a tiny amount of this one as it's the last of this 2015 vintage (only 1200 bottles made!).

This stunner is this producer's flagship, and is an absolutely crazy deal at $250 down to $79.90 in a 3-pack!

Get in quick if you want to grab some of this incredibly boutique Cab before it's all gone!

96 Points - Rob Geddes
Deep ruby rim, black core with lifted Cabernet cassis and black currant, cacao aromas. The fruit matches the tannin structure, lovely integrated tannins and ripe fruit so the wine really sings in terms of the balance between sweet black currant and violets fruit flavours and the silky velvety tannins matched with cedar and vanilla oak.
Gold Medal - Halliday Cabernet Challenge 2017

Suspect this is

St Hugo
Vetus Purum Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Just got an email from VM broker and it looks like they have a very limited offering of
reduced to $79.90 in a 3 pack.

I reckon that it is ‘Draco’ Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 - Nightfall Wines
They got a small error in Rob Geddes rating

Have you tried it? Any tasting notes?
I can't see a SK note for 2015 vintage, there is one for 2016 vintage:
Chatto Creek
Pinot Noir Post Office Series 2016
Rating: 94
It's wonderfully complex and fragrant on the nose showing dried cherry, toasted almond, earthy mushroom and smoked game nuances, followed by a generously textured palate offering beautifully layered mouthfeel backed by fine grainy tannins, finishing sturdy and persistent. At its best: now to 2025. $40.00. April 2022.

There is a recent one on Vivino

Thanks RB. I will put more faith on the Vivino review. (Doubt that SK even tasted it).

My order arrived just now. Posted over at my place, copied here.
The a/v is 13.5%.
Popped, poured, swirled and sipped.

This is actually looking quite promising.
Bright fresh crimson/magenta colour, only light/moderate density .
Restrained nose, slightly spicy dark cherry and red plums, no sign of oak (older barrels used).
Palate is fresh and juicy, bright fruit, moderate fine tannin, acid in balance, no hard edges, finishes a little short.

Drink now or short term cellaring, but for about $11-$12 it's a pretty good buy on this quick taste.

But whoever dreamed up the $90 RRP is certainly smoking the good stuff.
I got mine delivered today and couldn’t resist…definitely not a $90 wine, but I’d be happy if I had paid $15-20 ;-)
[Edit: third glass and it's opening up quite a bit. I think this will get better over time]

Well if there’s no Doris plums I’m definitely not getting it!
