Really? It definitely is not worth returning in my opinion, still better than anything else you would pick up at the local bottleshop for $10. True, not a great wine, but were you really expecting a something akin to a Head GSM or Penfolds 138?

There isn't anything wrong with it at all - it just wasn't as good as the other wines I have had, which have all been great.


Maybe it just needs a little more time to come into itself.

To me the finish just tasted of alcohol like a cheap vodka. Lack of body, fullness, fruit. Again, maybe that's just me. I will decant a second bottle in the next few days for a few hours to see if I can taste anything different.

I haven't tried the two wines you mentioned but I am comparing it to the Maverick Twins GSM which I thought was AMAZING.

Yeah, maybe a few years cellaring would improve it, not sure.
