I found their 2011 Shiraz a bit pathetic, but YMMV.

2011 was an average year for Barossa.

The 2012 Schild GMS was delicious. I'd be nabbing the 2013 deal but I don't want to risk it arriving while I'm away. If it appears again after I return, and if I haven't filled the car with produce from the wineries of Victoria while travelling, then I'll jump on it.

Schild v maverick comparisons anyone?

From memory, the Schild was lighter and more full of raspberries. Maverick was more serious.

The Winefront gave the 2012 an average score so hopefully the 2013 improves on that. I am going to hold off till it's reviewed further as most VM offers appear again and would be keen to hear purchasers feedback. The 2012 was (drink by 2017) so possibly the 2013 will be similar, so I would hook in early on this one as I think VM 2020 window is a stretch.

The stretch would be hanging on to the 2013 Schild GMS for more than a year!
The last case disappeared pretty quickly. When we subsequently saw it while strolling through Kemenys we picked up a couple more bottles. I'd like to think I've still got one in the wine cupboard but if I went and looked I think I'd be disappointed.

Bought on recommendations in this thread, and I do like a bargain wine! However I was also underwhelmed by the 2011 Shiraz... So hoping for better results this time around.

I googled Shild GMS 2013 and one of the things that came up was vinomofo and when I looked into that website is comes up with something like 'whooo WTF did you press' or words to that effect. I have done this before and every time without fail it has been the secret deal. Probably something embedded and secreted deep down in their website. In my mind pretty good chance.
