Vinomofo Wine Deals

I will have to unsubscribe from this thread I think.
Wine purchases now resembling new handbags :
"This case?? We have had it for ages honey !"
:p

I have certainly gone nuts buying wine in the past few years.

Some recent renovations at Châteaux penegal have increased cellar capacity by about 1,000 bottles, but that shouldn't be a challenge to fill it.

My problem now is that I have a lot of "drink now" type wines to demolish in the next 6-12-18 months.

I am particularly happy with the quantity and quality of the reds sat down for 2016+

Perhaps the next wine tasting I organise should be at the Châteaux

Now let me see, 25 pax times $$$$ per head........ could be a nice little earner :p

Kicking myself for missing out on this one. I didn't jump on it as I'd already bought a case of sixfootsix and didn't want another potential quaffer but this is meant to be a great drop! Rang up one of the 'wine brokers' to see if they'll put it on again but they've already sold out of it. :(

Maybe we can swap a bottle or two?
Or share a lovely meal with a bottle or two? ;)

It says a lot about their business model that we are all having this oversupply problem.
I keep seeing more that stuff I want to buy but have nowhere to put it because I can't drink what I already have fast enough...

I have a case. It is a lighter style, but perfectly acceptable IMHO.

You're welcome to share a bottle or three next time you visit MEL :)

You just gotta say NO to yourself - I have literally just got off a call from Phoebe at Vinomofo as she noticed have not purchased recently. As I discussed with pennygirl some months back I have embarked on a serious cellar drink-out and will not be restocking for a while - as hard as it is you just gotta say no sometimes.

It's OK everyone. I only recently discovered Vinomofo, so I'm picking up the slack for the moment. At least until I also run out of space, that is.

I do think that we really need to have a cellar reduction BBQ / drink-a-thon in MEL soon :p

I think this is a common problem. I just have to try to be more discerning, but there is just so much good wine out there, that I like to have a dozen of, to see how it develops. Ideally it would be 2 doz. Some wines I've had 6 or 7 doz, because the wine and deals were so good
