I am also tempted by the Avoca with credits, should be a good one...

I am in for this one as well.......probably better than the 2010 which from a few reviews was damn good . After your fifty off, it's one that's ridiculously priced now. I would like a review when you get it.

I just used my referral credits to buy this one. With Delivery I paid $3.00 at the checkout. That's 25c per bottle!!!!!
I shall enjoy this wine with a satisfied grin on my face I think

Nice, and so you should.

I wish I knew more people who were into wine! None of my extended family are that interested unfortunately :D

I actually thought it would have been easier than it has been. Had to put a bit of pressure on my work mates, and even had to go halves in some of their purchases to sweeten the deal (a win for me in my opinion). I've sent out a heap of invites that have had no interest at all. Oh well, I guess it's not for everyone

I have done alright with referring colleagues but everyone is getting their wine delivered to work and it raised a flag this morning requiring a phone call to unblock the account. All good and there are still a few more that I may convince :)

I had the same experience this morning when purchasing, but a quick call and it was all ok

Hmmmm not much really. Has anyone tried the patritti? Its been around for a while. With free shipping and $50 credit surely there must be something in the party box worth it but perhaps not for that price :/:confused:

Tempted by the new Merlot 2012 - Deal 6 in the FB sale. As its a new release its hard to work it out. Anybody else thinking:

Star Lane Vineyard Beechworth Merlot 2012

Keys gave the 2010 vintage a (to his surprise) 95 points so if it's this one is it going backwards?

Thoughts?

was thinking the same but the possibly not up-to-date website has 2010 as current vintage (along with shiraz, though others are 2012)
http://www.starlanewinery.com.au/index.php/wine-online

also malbec blend and cellaring to 2025 according to vm?

Thanks Qaz. If correct, then Star Lane are a great winery and the VM write-up suggests the wine will be promising for the future (don't they always say that!). At $16.50 and in a six pack .. I am in and will report back to the group.

Is it Merlot? The graphic says 'Malbec blend'.

I saw the same Dr Ralph. Having another look at the VM description and also the Star Lane website, I think it's a straight Merlot and the VM graphic is probably wrong.

I went to buy a case of the merlot last night but my account was locked due to potential referral credit fraud..... I've persuaded almost all of my office to jump on board and everyone is having their wine delivered to work - now I can't
