Vinomofo Wine Deals

I went to buy a case of the merlot last night but my account was locked due to potential referral credit fraud..... I've persuaded almost all of my office to jump on board and everyone is having their wine delivered to work - now I can't

Just phone them and explain, a few people here have had to do the same.

Somehow received an order of Gapstead Pinot Grigio yesterday despite ordering Prosecco. Hopefully easily sorted as I do not drink white generally.

I was waiting for someone else to get the same delivery muckup. Oh well, let's see how we both can maximize their error.....I will try one and take it from there.....oh, by the way, you were right about the extraordinary lengths that Peters of K go to in wrapping. What a sensational deal with two decanter sets being delivered in a very big pink box measuring about 3 feet b 3 feet by 3 feet. Quite a struggle to get it into the back seat......but worth it.

I see the 2013 Lagrein is Halliday's wine of the week. I've never tried the variety before, might have to give it a go

Wonder how many people got the wrong delivery?

If you think Peter's is bad, have you seen Riedel? Two wine glasses in a box, in another box, in a massive box full of stuffing that takes up the entire boot of a hatchback
Glad the deal was worth it; didn't partake as I have more than enough glasses...

Glenloft 2012 Cab Sauv I would say... prices are always $26. Pyrenees.
Go nuts OzBargainers.

An interesting conundrum. If I was am alcoholic, I would have pressed the buy button on this one already after yesterdays Mount Avoca cabernet purchase. If this Glenlofty appeared yesterday, I would certainly have pressed the buy. Now that would be a dams good taste off, perhaps as good as it gets. Avoca 12 compared with Glenlofty 12. A few interesting lateral thoughts please, and I mean not obvious. Cheers.

Not yet. Closest match is Vinrock McLaren Vale Shiraz 2013, but they are not a 5 red star winery. Too many other options and no good matches yet.

Could it be the Chapel Hill McLaren Vale Shiraz? Price is close ($30), Alcohol is spot on, they are also a Red Star Winery and can be argued that they are also one of the famous producers in the region.
Halliday's description is similar to the blurb that VM used.

Open-fermented, basket-pressed. Good colour; takes a millisecond to establish its sense of place and variety; at the full end of medium-bodied, it has very good balance and texture, its luxuriant black fruits trimmed by bitter chocolate and ripe tannins; has impeccable length.

Not Chapel Hill, Gemtree or Vinrock.

Vinrock?

The description says 'Made by one of the Vale’s most famous addresses'.

Pure hyperbole from VM if it's the Vinrock.

Drink by 2038? WM description says drink by 2025. That's a very big difference.

Image is the 2011, Vintage on the link is 2013.

Maybe. Given the URL is not specific to a vintage, I'm not convinced. Could be a stuff up by Chapel Hill.

In any case as mr bigot has indicated, the issue is moot.
