Re: Wynns V&A Lane 212

VM were nice enough to scrounge up another case of that Gapsted Prosecco for me. It apparently evaporated (and neither myself nor Penegal were involved in that)...

Re: Wynns V&A Lane 212

Hehehe Wozza......."subtle lawyers", never met one of those:lol:

You are not wrong ehiggo! Us lawyers are about as subtle as Beefarmer speaking on an over-sold, very average Pinot!!

PS. Beefarmer - I loved yesterday's pictorial wit. It made me chuckle! When I am out (which I guess is not very often these days), I seem to be the only one not drinking beer. Can't stand the stuff, especially the hoppy, hipster-esk craft beers that are all the rage at the moment.

Maybe the date was posted incorrectly and should have been 30 September.

Thanks so much for getting in contact! Unfortunately we've had to end our promo early due to some people taking advantage of the voucher. But of course, your friend is still deserving! Have your colleague give us a call on 1300 846 666 and we'll get it sorted smile emoticon

Not quite sure how they can legally get away with doing that. There is no mention in the advertising about the possibility of withdrawing the offer early.

If it was a misprint, they could correct the mistake by posting a sign in their store or some BS.

This isn't a misprint, but by the sounds of things they're going to still let people use it.

The damage I can see from this is the message says expired and some people will just give up. First interaction is a poor customer experience. If it were to say "Please call our customer support centre to process this discount" or whatever it would at least give you a door.

I've followed up for her since she's a busy gal, but it could have easily deterred her if I wasn't assisting. $25 credit in it for me too though, so I have some incentive :P

Why can't they? There's no contract, and no one's been induced into doing something that causes loss.

Interesting to see that the voucher has expired - I wonder how they tracked that it had been abused, as far as I was aware you could not use the same phone number/CC twice as I tried to buy for my folks but had to use their card as mine was on another account.

My Devils Lair Chardy arrived today. Took quite a while to make the journey but I am sure it will be worth the wait. Review to follow.

I'm also guessing Ulithorne, and bought a case on this presumption.

Further evidence is that the vinomofo website has a placeholder for a $40 ulithorne shiraz, found by googling:

https://vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/ulithorne-shiraz-2014-31779808

although it is currently just an empty placeholder. Don't think it will be the frux frugis though, that would be at a higher price point. I suspect it will be a special bottling for VM, or one they bought up in full.

My guess is Ulithorne Frux Frugis Shiraz?

That's from a Google search of "these are cult wines & Decanter together.

ah, minor additional googling reveals that it is likely the ulithorne la familia, a new label and bottling made from local (but not their) grapes:

Something along the lines of false advertising? Can a retailer take out a newspaper advert suggesting all stock is 90% if you mention a secret code stated in the advert. Then when you turn up at the cash register to pay they say sorry, no deal. Doesn't sound right to me, but what would I know. I'm just an engineer :)

Anyone have an idea of what this SBS from Margaret river is? Im leaning towards 3 Oceans due to the amount of wine they do through VM but I am not sure.

I have just pulled the trigger, so will let you know when they arrive. The timing may not help you, 'though.

I have just been emailed to expect delivery on the 13th. Good thing I am not thirsty.

But the problem here is that they advertised and enticed the genuine members to invite genuine new friends which have added to the VM customer list..inc releasing personal email address and mobile phone numbers
based on that voucher deal...its wrong to change the expiry date.. just because their online systems are not adequate

If an offer has terms and conditions, the I suspect it's quite legitimate for a retailer to take reasonable steps to enforce those T&Cs especially in the face of rorting. The message saying the code has expired is misleading and a bad idea but it seems you can still get the discount by phoning

Thanks AC
So I gather that you need to place the order by Phone?
