Maybe Heathcote Estate?
Maybe Heathcote Estate?
Price, alcohol and descriptors all fit. Grapes come from Waikerie. Poor form.Howdy..Would todays "Fiano" - Clare Valley ...
https://vinomofo.com/wines/white-wi...il&utm_term=0_7adb240a07-dee73e96ff-168757074
be the Kirrihill Noble Vineyard Fiano?...it not exaclty Clare valley grapes...but a few other things fit together.
Cheers
Just got my 2 cases ordered last week :
BLACK MARKET DEAL Chardonnay 2015 - Better Half 2015 Yarra Valley Chardonnay... Cannot find anything about this wine anywhere!?
BLACK MARKET DEAL Shiraz 2014 - Thistledown Two Roads Shiraz... Anyone had this & if so, thoughts??
Swervyn.......I too was enticed by the thistledown and waited three days to buy it. I chased up some information from Adelaide about this new crowd, and basically liked what I heard from the other end. The person I was talking to has been in the wine game for over 30 years and she mentioned that the winemaker involved here is top notch. Top notch was a good start for me, but I also delved further and received some other positive news. All this mucking around for a fourteen bucker you ask? I do the same research for a one dollar twenty two Bianco D'allesano that won a trophy and picked up stacks of cases. Everybody I know who has tasted it loves it. Back to the Two Roads, I have to say it has the most ridiculous wording on the back about coming to a road junction and picking another path. Such bulltish I have not read for a long time, howeverrrrrrr I don't care so long as it tastes good. I passed on a bot to a work friend and he came back wanting more. That's a very good start for me. From my perspective, I want the wine to taste like a premium wine with the fruit being these guys forte, food accompaniment being essential as they pick them a little earlier(from the horses mouth that one) but complexity is the key here. I do hope I enjoy mine but it has been a little too hot lately.

Beechworth Pinot Secret Deal could be brokenwood IV-MV6. I haven't undertaken a lot of research but price and alcohol seem right (and I think there have been Brokenwood wines listed before. Someone may be able to confirm other stats (would assume they are a 5 star producer which seems pretty standard for JH. Has anyone tried this before?
Also any ideas on the Coonawarra Cab Sav - Selling Crazy Fast but often see that when a wine first goes on sale.

Edited - Looks like you beat me to the punch and I think you're right EdNoon.
Thanks AnonymousCoward - The Cab Sauv is the 2012 version, the stats you have are for the 2010 (except JH gave the 2010, 95). Agreed though, I think the same wine just the newest vintage at a slightly higher price.
IV-MV6 usually has a higher RRP than $55...I would be surprised if Brokenwood has reduced it for the 2013
Sorry I was confused thinking the IV-MV6 and the Brokenwood Indigo Vineyard Beechworth Pinot Noir were the same. Do you think a good buy/drink if it's that?
They're different:
2012 IV-MV6 Pinot Noir - Brokenwood Wines - $75
vs.
Indigo Vineyard Pinot Noir - Brokenwood Wines - $55
Not sure if it's worth buying - I didn't get onto this deal, but there was some discussion about it back from post #6833 onwards. I think the consensus was that Beechworth isn't one of the main Pinot regions, and there's options for Pinot from the major regions for similar price. That said, Brokenwood's got a good name, so I doubt it would be bad.
