Vinomofo Wine Deals

Just received mine today and couldn't help crack a bottle..

I know you later say you are not a fan...I agree its perhaps not quite the wine I was expecting with all that bling, but I think it will hold up over the next 5 years in the cellar...might put away 6 tonight and sample the rest of the bottle after it has had some air.

The joys of wine. One mans Sacred Hill can be another's Grange! It isn't bad as such, it's just the bitterness that doesn't sit well with me.

I think the 11 was the best, then the 12 but I think you are on the right track with potentially overripe fruit, or too extracted, probably the former.....I need to open up another soon, but nevertheless, like many other sub tenners from the Fo, good quaffing material......for some. Probably for most !

Yeah that 11 was a cracking quaffer wine...fortunately I grabbed 3 cases, and still have 2 left :)

Just wondering what the current black market deals are
Ultra premium 2014 mclaren vale shiraz $90 down to $29.90 (I believe it may be haselgrove)
Premium 2015 mclaren vale shiraz $42 to $12.90
Margaret river 2012 shiraz $55 to $16.50
I can't really justify buying a dozen or half dozen wines without trying them first....

[h=3]Schild Estate Edgar Schild Reserve Grenache 2012[/h][h=3]The Edgar Schild Reserve Grenache is grown on bush vines sitting high up on eastern slopes of the Barossa Valley.

Tasting Notes

It has a jubey, caramelised sweetness but it has good body, weight and texture. It’s none too shabby. Grainy, sandy tannin, notes of dried herbs, a red- and black-berry fruitiness and an attractively warm finish. Good winter drinking. Has enough stuffing but it’s not an overhwelming or overbearing wine.

If you aren't aware of it there is a great wine app for iPhone called Wineosphere. It is the Winefront guys, you get all their reviews etc and is currently free. You can even scan the barcode on a wine and get their review up in seconds. I recommend it.

Bonus points for the Bowie references in the UX.

What.......the....
From The Wine Front:

There’s something like 20,000 people using the Wineosphere app too, so it’s not just from the website / email. Likely time to start charging for that I’d say :-O

It’s a funny thing. A lot of people like using the website. Like being able to comment. Use the app for different times/things etc. Also, it only runs on iPhone/iPad, which while being the dominant technology in the ‘wine demographic’, is not used by all (obviously – and please no Apple/Android rants here, TIA).
Also The WineFront team supply content to Wineosphere; we have no financial interest in the product.

Thanks for that.....still a massive cop out imo....
